Activity: 0% Longevity: 80% | | Question on selling big ticket items on ebay
Hi guys was away from forum and eBay since 3 years, I have few questions. Can i sell on eBay account big ticket items around 2k on ebay after gap of few years if my feedback is low under 100.
My ebay is old around 5 years, eBay is mixture of stealth details, paypal is 100% genuine.
Should i wait for sometime and start selling with small items, and than start selling big items after sometime.
Thanks in advance for any input

You should ease the account back into existence with small item sales and slowly build volume/$ amounts

Make several backup accounts - if the big ticket item is not questionable or potentially trademark infringing, you could look at selling on Amazon...

Basic answer - no. Doesn't look good. You need to start building a rapport again with ebay (i.e. start selling slowly). They don't tend to like it when sellers leave them, and come back all of sudden trying to sell thousands. P.S. these funds will without a doubt go into a 21 day hold on Paypals end.

Thanks again | You may need the money quick but it won't matter if Paypal holds the money or starts asking for Invoices, and other documents.

SOMETIMES you can call into paypal and simply ask.
I did this two summers ago on a decade old paypal account I have not logged into for years. Spent a good hour on the phone and while on the phone tested receiving $5000.00 in one payment.
All was good and I used it weekly after that for small wholesale orders.
Might be a unique situation and I did have to verify my identity and whatnot.

Yes, no holds and make sure the account could handle 20-50K a month right from the start after many years of inactivity.
I use the account for instant international bank transfers company to company. Not something you can do easy without permission from paypal.

Nobody with any smarts sells anything for 2K on EB unless they're willing to risk losing their money and their item.
Remember, PP now has a 180 day guarantee.
You're not only risking today's 2K, you're risking October's 2K.

You're not only risking today's 2K, you're risking October's 2K. | I never sold something for that value. But I have sold products which were 3-figure prices, on a frequent basis before. The profit's were really good. I would say it was worth the risk of losing an account, considering I was making profits equal to about 3 other accounts/sales.

There is no limit, it's entirely dependent on the particular seller account.
On most of my accounts I could easily list a $500 item, but it would be suicide to do so on a brand new account. Generally the forum recommends selling $1k the 1st month, $2k the 2nd month, and however much you want after that. If I were you, I would at least wait until you're getting instant payments to list the $500 item.

By the way, I am sure phaz0rz means 1k in total sales, 2k in total sales etc. rather than value of any given item.
