Refunded but then delivered
 

So one package got delayed for few weeks and i refunded the buyer.
Now i see that it was delivered.

Is there anything i can do to get my money back?

Asking the buyer to pay again would be the first place to start.

Yes asking him to pay again or say send it back to be honest nothing else can be done if he don't wanna send it back you can't do anything

You don't have anything to report him for. It was technically your fault the shipment was delayed because you selected the courier. For that reason Ebay isn't going to do anything to help get your money back.

I've had this happen a few times with international shipments. The tracking number will go over a week without being scanned, so the buyer and myself will sometimes assume the shipment has been lost. There have been quite a few cases where the shipment eventually does arrive weeks later, and I get a message from the buyer asking how they can send their payment back. Then I'll invoice them in Paypal so they can send their money back to me.

By no means does this happen with every lost shipment I deal with, but there definitely are SOME honest buyers on eBay.

The package was actually on time and not late but this guy claimed he never got the notification for pickup but i see now that he did pick it up after i refunded him.

Maybe try calling Ebay and Paypal to see if there's anything they can do to help. I don't know if there's anything they can do about delivery issues.

It sounds like it was slow arrival, buyer complained, you refunded and then it showed up. I don't see what the problem is other than you refunded before it arrived.

Nicely ask the buyer to pay for it and in the future, maybe delay a refund for as long as possible.

Thing it the package was on time waiting at the post office(there was notice left at his address)
But he claimed that he went to the post office and item wasn't there.
After the refund package delivered. :shocked:

i don't understand why you refund him ..
when buyer complain for item not receive, take a look at usps tracking page, so you see "notice left", and then, you tell the buyer about that.
He said he went to post office, but item was not there ? send email to usps customer service, they will arrange redelivery..
After 1 month, usps return the package to the sender, so, refund him only at this time.
I am not sure about Ebay, but Amazon say the seller is not responsible if the buyer doesn't collect his package...
All this won't help you now, but remember it for next time.

Similar situation (INR), I called ebay as buyer was demanding a refund. Was being a bit suspicious. So I started asking the advisor 'what would you do, would you refund this buyer'... obviously the response was the usual 'we can't discuss member details with other members etc.', but long story short, they told me, if the buyer opens a case, it will be closed in my favour, and if the buyer leaves a neg rating, it will be removed, that was enough for me. They even had it put in writing. Con artists! :yar:

I quoted you... to say a report CAN go a long way. Sure nothing might happen there and then, but it CAN have an influence eventually.

I've been through same situation. Advise above if you see the tracking has been scanned at times the Mail is delayed. Create excuses prior to refunds ect. allow as much transit time on the parcel as possible to be delivered. Often mail persons do not actually leave notice's although scanned that they have. If you willingly refund your dead in the water and at the only way to recoup funds is asking the buyer. Otherwise all other entities will string you along with 0 results. If Ebay refunds via INR, you have a 30 day option to appeal, keep in mind Ebay steps in, it wrecks ratings. Just some experience passed on.

This happened to me on an item... buyer opened a case for not received, and it had been so long that eBay automatically sided against me. It was delivered the next week. Buyer got full refund, and got to keep item. eBay would NOT help, said it was my fault, and that at the time the buyer opened the case it was not delivered. Said it was irrelivant it was delivered now, and they are under no obligation to return it. This is 1 of 3 strikes against me for 'cases closed without seller resolution'. Seems pretty resolved to me... free item, full refund....
