Question about "return requests" then changed mind
 

Hi all, please help. I have a question about "return request" the buyer opened a "return request" i accepted. Then after a while buyer said he "changed his mind" and want to keep the item. But how can i close this case now? It only giving me option "to refund buyer" then close the case. Also i am worry, if i leave the case open "as is" will it effect my defect rate or anything like that? Will the case close automaticaly? If so, will it effect my seller status? I emailed the buyer, he never responded.

you dont have to worry if he has not returned the item and uploaded tracking,
the case will close automatically after 30 days.

the case can be escalated after 10 days i think
but if there is no tracking itll be decided in your favour and not count towards your dsrs.

just watch out for the sneak uploading tracking,
ebay will message you if he does,
refund at that point if i was you.

If they've really changed their mind about the return, the return will automatically close after a while (I think it's a bit longer than 30 days though), and it won't have any negative impact on your account.

It will auto close in 30 days. But you can always tell the buyer to close it themselves.
