Hey everyone, before going stealth, I had a great eBay account. Only issue is the PayPal linked to it is permanently limited. The eBay account itself is in great standing with 500 item/25k month selling limits and 50+feedback and its a couple years old. Should I try and sell on it again or give up on it?

If you can get another payment processor it could be worth it, but a lot of people are pretty insistent on using PayPal these days.

Considering your account has a relatively low selling limit and feedback, I would just move onto another 500/25000 and get an EIN.
Once you start getting steady sales on other accounts, you could attach a new Paypal to your old Ebay and probably get a few days/weeks worth of sales before Ebay catches on and limits your Ebay account.
That's just my opinion, but ultimately this is a decision you'll have to make for yourself.

Could I POSSIBLY make a new PayPal with my details except have my SSN as a EIN? Or should I wait until I change address to make it (I'm 17, will be turning 18 soon) as I will be moving out in a year or two.

Anyway back to what I was saying. You CAN create a new Paypal account and attach to your existing ebay account. But as MM78 said, it won't last long before being shut down. It would be a way for you to get a little more income out of an otherwise useless account though.
If you do choose to try this, DEFINITELY do not go out and get an EIN and put on the new Paypal account. The old Ebay + new Paypal combo will be shut down quickly, so you would just be wasting an EIN if you were to attach one to the new paypal.
Do you follow?

If I were you I would proceed like this:
1) Buy/Create a new account now and list an item so you start building a history
2) Create a new unverified Paypal account to attach to your existing Ebay account
3) Get as many sales as possible before Ebay shuts down your old account
4) Attach an EIN to your new Ebay/Paypal combo after the account has a positive selling history.
5) Incorporate and file taxes for the EIN next year.

But chances are the link would be in Ebay and the paypal wouldn't be limited, unless of course you do whatever you did before to get limited after 2 days. What did you do? Sell a bunch of things quickly after a period of inactivity?

It's just because they see that as someone's account being hacked. They limit accounts like that to cover their own butts.

I reused my SSN a few times I believe. I thought you could have unlimited PayPal accounts?? I have one now, with all confirmed, and I signed up for another PP account last week. It only asked me for my last 4 of ssn, and birthdate. Seemed almost too easy to create, I wonder if they'll ask for more info later?

I put my SSN on 2 paypals once. As soon as Paypal sent out 1099's and realized the same SSN was on two accounts, they told ebay and my ebay accounts were linked.
Oddly enough, I'm pretty sure both of the Paypals made it out ok. So you may be right. I know there's a forum member who puts the same EIN on multiple accts.

I also thought I read here you could have unlimited paypal accounts; for separate businesses, separate uses... as long as you could make up a reason for the separation if they ask?
Linking of two accounts could definately be possible, from what I read here. I thought someone said you could not physically make two accounts at once. That deosn't seem to be the case. But it looks like my accounts will be linked if/ when I get 1099'd... Hopefully I can put that off until my main account is back above standard.
From the sound of it, I should just use my EIN and be on the safe side. I still have the EIN from a previous business I could probably just input... if it's as simple as that

I recommend an EIN, but don't try to reuse one from an old Paypal.

Can use Paymate, Propay and Skrill - other eB-approved payment methods - PP is over for this account
