eBay purchase - your payment has been processed
 
Hey guys,

So I messed up today and logged into two eBay accounts from the same ip address. Later i decided to buy a couple hundred dollar item. I have already paid for the item and the money came out of my paypal balance. now the seller has eBay has not cleared my payment or some nonsense. This isn't the first "big" purchase i have made, as i made one earlier this week.

eBay shows me the hourglass when i look at my payment on their website.

Any suggestions?

i bought an item of higher value earlier on in the week though. my account is about a month old

i called ebay and they said it has something to do with either the sellers account or my paypal which really makes no sense.

the seller called paypal to ask and she said that paypal is verifying the funds, which is ridiculous because the money is from my balance..

i have to apparently wait 24-48h

The only other time you get the pending timer is if the seller is fairly new and has not comfirmed there email address.

I just bought a 200 gps same thing payment held for review i tried many times to contact the seller no response took about 2 weeks pp finally reversed the payment back to me and the seller still hasnt responded so in my case it was a good thing they kept me from being ripped off .. I should have known it was too good to be tru but he had 500+ feedbacks but after looking it was all from buying penny auctions i guess to look trust worthy ..

it cleared, this sellers has a lot of attitude. I'm asking for details on the product and the seller won't provide it and she said "stop messaging me please"


im gonna wreck her feedback after i get the item.

It sounds like you might have been a challenging buyer so far. Plus the payment review makes a seller skeptical and you made the seller call paypal.

I personally never would have called paypal to check on a payment review or even answered a question about it.

Maybe put yourself in the sellers shoes before leaving negative feedback. :peace:

@rakesh, you are a problematic buyer - asking for details on the product AFTER you buy it? Not a good attitude.

You paid - now wait for your item and be diplomatic. Don't leave silly feedback unless there is a real reason to do so

You started the problem with the sign in.

paypal started a review which is their right.

Your seller helped by calling in.

And you want to rubbish that because your nose is out of joint.

Not the nicest of approaches.

I hope you are just venting.

she has been rude all along. she should have been humble about the situation. i totally understand paypal has to review payments but she shouldn't blame me for the situation. i wanted the serial number of the product which i feel i am entitled to do after making the payment. is that something unreasonable? she told me she would give it after the payment had been made which has already been done...

i wanted the serial number. she said she would give it after i paid her.

Having read this thread, I respect everything this seller has said/done. Only because I would of probably done the same. From start to finish you have (please dont take offence) acted like a pest, and to top it off, you will leave a negative feedback.... Lets rewind right back to the beginning and see who's fault it all was, it was yours Rakesh. So please dont wreck someones feedback, and just take the blame and move on.

Also without coming across sexist in any way- I know a few female sellers on ebay, they tend to have kids, they are also managing a business on the side, this could be the case for this seller, so please cut her some slack.

You sound obnoxious. A type of buyer nobody wants.

If I was the seller, I would refund and block you. If you left negative, about 80% chance I would have it removed.

This is all speculation of course, but that is what it sounds like from what we read.

I'm buying an electronic item. i just wanted to confirm there was warranty on it before she shipped it. i once bought a similar item and was told it had warranty but when it arrived sure enough i was lied. i opened a paypal dispute paypal didn't help me out at all.

before i bought the item i asked for the serial number she said ill provide it to you the minute i get the payment. so i of course agreed and paid and waited for the serial number, however i never got it. infact i still haven't got it- i stopped messaging her and i guess I'm just testing my luck when it comes.

Is the item not supposed to be sold online by dealers?

I am very familiar with this in my nitch. Dealer exclusive items are typically not supposed to be sold online.

When a buyer asks for a serial number, they almost always are a PITA so they get a refund and blocked. 50% of the time it is another dealer trying to cause a problem.

Im thinking the product was an iPhone, for which you can check the warranty online @ https://checkcoverage.apple.com/gb/en/ (I may be wrong).

If you are really reluctant rakesh, you can request to cancel the transaction and find another seller who gives you the service you demand.

I suggest asking those questions before making the payment in the future. Maybe you did and if so, Kudos!

She may have been naive, but close. A serial number wouldn't do harm. But people can get a device blocked off if they have an IMEI number.

she refunded my payment claiming she dropped the item and it smashed. now her refund is "pending" what did she do to my funds.. it'll probably take 5-7 days to clear because i assume she used her bank account to fund the refund.

Smart seller it seems...she doesn't want your business.

Sadly, you have to wait for the refund now (nothing against you)

I think what he meant was when the refund goes through, the buyer gets their full refund. However the seller has to pay part of the processing fee.

For example, the processing fee in the UK is 3.4% + 20p per transaction, that 20p will be coming out of the sellers pocket basically.

That is not what he said and doubtful what he meant. rsot just fills the forum full of mistruths and bad info on a daily basis.

He really needs to find something productive to do because this certainly is an ongoing utter failure of his.
