How I got Feedback changed without using a feedback revision request!

Hi everyone,

Post should be "How I got feedback removed not changed without using a feedback revision request"

Some people may know this, some people may not.. But I am going to share how I was able to get feedback removed without using a feedback revision request.

I woke up to see a negative feedback saying my item was broke and not genuine..

I got in touch with the buyer and explained my side of the business
(gave them some background information apologized for the item being broken I can offer replacement refund whatever you like but you should of contacted me before as my previous email after sale mentioned that)

The buyer responded and apologized for leaving bad feedback they were just mad at the time.

I then went to eBay live chat facility and spoke to a lady
"I said a buyer has admitted they should not of left bad feedback and are sorry and want this changed" I believe this was my lucky success I had with the feedback being changed as the buyer admitted they shouldn't of left bad feedback and are sorry.

The lady on eBay live chat said I will have to escalate this to our department team and they will get back to you with in 24 to 48 hrs.

Today I received an email through eBay to say the feedback has been removed. This was the email..

Hello xxxxxx,

This is xxxxxx from eBay Customer Service and I am getting in touch about "buyer ID" who left you feedback for the (item xxxxxxxxxxxxx). I can understand from your chat contact that you want us to remove this remark since the buyer admitted that they only left it due to the fact that they were angry and the fact that you could prove that this item is genuine. ( I actually never proved the item was genuine to the buyer I said to the buyer I provided invoices to eBay and they were approved but I never sent any invoices to eBay) I'm sorry to hear about what happened, rest assured that I'll help you with this.

I've thoroughly investigated this and I am happy to bring you the good news that I've already removed the feedback (including the detailed seller rating) they've left on your profile. I guarantee you that this is no longer visible on your account right before you received this email.

gratz hun, nice to have that happen for a change.

But remove the ITEM NUMBER from the ebay message above, to protect your account.

Hi Thank you for that item number removed.. I'm learning more about feedback and apparently if customers claim products are not genuine you can fill out a form and provide a general document to eBay to prove it authenticity and stuff like this is easy to get hold of if that works that would be the icing on the cake for me.

No need to apologise for selling a counterfeit item?

@samspalace, you wrote " ( I actually never proved the item was genuine to the buyer I said to the buyer I provided invoices to eBay and they were approved but I never sent any invoices to eBay) ", so maybe that was misinterpreted...

Becuase you admitted you told wee fibs to ebay to get the FB removed....
Your buyer said "broke AND not genuine"

You spun a yarn and got lucky.... this round...
You claimed you were OK to file documents to make your life easy like "icing on the cake"....

Try not to think others are silly, eh?

Moot point. At this point you guys are just antagonizing OP :(

@Rosie - It was more or less an assumption since I don't have any UK accounts yet. My reasoning is since eBay was created in USA we probably have the most traffic. I have a handful of Canadian accounts which don't come close to my USA accounts in terms of traffic, but that could just be the way I manage my accounts.

What you need to do is stop your comments directed towards subscribers.

Nearly every post has a tone.

OP chipped a poster.

I explained his reasoning was flawed.
