a few quick questions. I've read the stealth guide but have few more q's.

ok, so i was using a friends eBay account and it is in good status but have stopped using it a year ago. he does not plan on using it anymore but i would like to start using stealth account now from the same ip address/computer. i know it will be linked but will stealth account be okay since my friends account is not being used anymore to sell and is in good status? also, when you guys say new user on the computer is it okay to do that on a mac?

thanks in advance for any info.

Hi pperry, welcome to the forum.

Very wise to start your own account and leave alone your friend's one.

It would be good, at this point, leave both account completely unlinked. Very easy to do:
create a new user on the mac you are using (good for stealth like any other PC) and get a new IP... that's it.

A mac can also have user accounts. Always wise to use them.

It would be preferable to have a new IP for a new account. You want to try to avoid a link.

Have you thought of that? Share your thoughts.

the only reason i ask is because i don't want to buy vpn when i have a ip address that isn't being used anymore for eBay and am trying to avoid the charge of vpn but if i have to i will but was wondering if it would be okay to just use my old ip address because the other eBay account is in good standing and never to be used again. thanks guys for the help

What you might have to think about is....the friend could decide to use ebay again.

There will be issues if there is already an account using the same IP

Can you not use other options to access the internet?

Before buying an IP you can try free ways to change your IP. In some cases you can just unplug your router and that will do the trick. Or you may be able to make use of 4G phone tethering as long as you have a smartphone with a data plan. Some carriers offer this for free. The stealth guide has detailed instructions on how to change your IP.

use the tethering function of you phone, you don't need a vpn

I've thought about this but my friend does not want to have anything sold on his account anymore. & my ip will not change with a simple restart or unplugging etc.

I was wondering about that too; I plan to buy an all new device because I have a mac and didn't want to take any chances. Can anyone confirm 100% that all Mac OS with separate users will work in the same way a PC will? My mac is from 2007, so not sure.

stressed'

MAC rocks for stealth!

I have a major account on a dedicated MAC. It gives no problems.

Unlike my PCs which had dramas with different issues thanks to Bill Gates, the MAC hums along.

do note this MAC only has ebay/paypal usage by ONE person. Pure as the droven snow, in other words!

@OP, also consider looking into a dongle

@GB, thanks for the link :FF: I recognized that - appreciate the pr :)

@OP, what is the status of the paypal account - have you been using that too?
