Return no complet, ebay refunded the buyer
 

I sold an item cost 400$.

Buyer opened a return for the reason of "item not as described", even the reason is fault, I accepted the return and provided TWO return shipping labels.

In the ''open case'', it can only allow to up-load one return shipping label. So I up-loaded the other shipping label as picture and sent both shipping labels to buyer through eBay message.

Buyer returned only one part (small part). I called eBay to hold the case, because the buyer didn't return the second part. After few days, the case has been closed automatically, the refund has been sent to the buyer. The buyer didn't use the second shipping label, nor return the second part of item (big / principal part)

I appealed the case. eBay customer team communicated with me by emails yesterday. Apparently eBay doesn't want to reverse the refund or guarantee my money, they said it is a cost of my business.

How can I do to get my money or the item back? The buyer refused to reply now.

Did you take photos of what was returned? Whenever you deal with big returns, I would open it up at post office for witness and photo. When ebay decided that the case is done...not much you can do, sadly.

I just received small parcel.

The second parcel which weight is 36lb, never received. The second shipping label is not activated, it is evident and true.

I hear you but eBay doesn't seem to want to deal with a "Second parcel" - I don't know how much push back you can do with eBay on this matter. Maybe wait for other people to comment...

Unfortunately ebay is a bunch of assholes and since one package is returned, their stance is we cant prove if the entire item was returned or not. So we side with the buyer. I have seen it all including buyer returning wrong product and ebay did nothing.

Your only recourse is police or possibly drive to the dudes house and deal with it. Thats it, ebay doesnt give a ****, im afraid.

I been down this road and y stance is like the casino. Only put enough in that your afraid not to lose. I heard it all from ebay from this is cost of doing to business to this is the internet. It cant be controlled.

Sorry to hear about this situ but it does not seem like you will get your money or item back from this transaction. As a precautionary method, what I do for high priced items is to check the profile, activity and feedback history of the buyer to see if they appear to be legitimate and not very likely to give me a hassle in any way. If I see any discrepancies in their buyer account then I cancel the sale.

I notice in these cases that ebay (and paypal) ignore your detailed notes and just do the easy thing and refund buyer, however, was original shipping sent in 2 parts to buyer? if there are 2 packages sent and expected back, and only one sent and you have weight anywhere on label of package that was received, it is all evidence, if they care to look at your side.

I had few messages with Ebay yesterday. Since my last message yesterday afternoon, I don't receive any reply from Ebay.

I don't know what's the resultat. I will calll Ebay tomorrow maybe if I don't have any news.

It is very evident. I shipped the items with two shipping labels, and I provided two return shipping labels, but just got one small package returned.

The problem is that you uploaded the 2nd return label into a picture. I dont think the buyer can print that out. If the buyer can print it, the picture will be highly compressed. Most of the details will be lost like the scanning bar code or maybe your return address.

eBay dispute case couldn't allow to upload two shipping labels, only one!

I sent the second shipping label to buyer through ebay message, paypal email.

Buyer confirmed to receive the second shipping label.

This happened multiple times to me. eBay said "Ohh you mean you never received the item back? Please hold". Then they came back and said "were sorry it appears their decision is final". I called several times and got same answer. Then after 30 days of good feedback and history I got the answer "were sorry, I wish I could help but the returns are now past 30 days old". Such a scam. Whoever opens the case wins, they don't even look at them anymore it seems.
