Has anyone used eBay valet service?

Seems like a good deal.. Sure they take an additional 20%, but if you're borderline considering hiring a new employee, the 20% seems like a deal. eBay provides a shipping label, and you send them all your stuff and they list it for you. For me, I make my money buying... So if I could pass off the listing and shipping part to someone else I could make up the difference by being out and buying more. Plus, if eBay is in possession of your items, they know you and the items are legit. If a buyer issue comes up, they know it's not your problem since they took on all the headaches.

Half tempted to try it with my whole stockpile of built up inventory from the past several months.. I think id be ok with losing 20% if it meant unloading it all at once for a big paycheck... And strengthening both my feedback and reputation with eBay for this inactive account I am bringing back to life.

30% fees included (effectively 22%) for $50-200; $200+ 20% (effectively 12%)

That is more % than what seems like half the members make in profit.

You would be the first that I know of who has tried it.

Hard to say how good the person listing is though. I am guessing they just go by ebays catalogue much like amazon does.

Wonder how it would go with stealth.. I guess you just print the label off online, nothing would go to your stealth address... I guess unless it doesn't sell. That could create a problem with stealth. I was thinking you could just scribble on a post it note what it is, and roughly what it's worth.

No Dear, valet parking you just tip them a few bucks. Ebay valet, you give them your wallet.
