Negative feedback question
 
1) Item was sold, and shipped AFTER dispatch time (1 week instead of 3 days)
2) Delivery time is declared as 22 days
3) A couple of days after dispatch, buyer leaves a neg stating "long dispatch, long delivery"

Is it a valid neg? He will receive his item before deadline 100% guaranteed (still 2 weeks left for the delivery), so he can't tell that it is a late delivery (it is tracked). Is there any chance I will get that neg removed?

Its pretty unlikely I am afraid!

You can talk to the buyer though and ask them to remove it.

What I often do is offer people a partial refunds in exchange for the feedback being removed

I have had this happen to me before as well. eBay ruled in the buyer's favor (surprise, surprise) because it goes by both handling time and delivery time.

What james said about the partial refund as well as this:

I would probably call/chat (I know bad advice) BUT, in this case, ebay sees you in cahoots with the postal service in question, and you stated quiet clearly how your 'partners' shipping works and the time frame.

Ive won cases like this.

Its just like amazon (Tip:Ebay hates to have them (Amazon) thrown in their face)
I order something
it says 5 days to get.
the package ships out on day 4
I get it on day 5.

Anything after that is amazons/the sellers fault, But I cannot fuss until AFTER that date.

Am I ticked that they held an item that long? Yup, but I was told CLEARLY when Id get it.

I wonder how EB would behave, as I tend to ship things once a week, so one customer can have the item shipped the same day, but some unlucky ones may wait a week. But as the shipping is declared as up to 22 days, and shipping to their location is not longer than 10 days, which adds up to 7 + 10 = 17 max delivery days, so almost a week before the longest ETA. Will see on Monday after a chat with them. Are customers allowed to leave negs concerning delivery dates BEFORE they even got the item and BEFORE the deadline?

UPDATE. Once I provided ebay rep with a tracking number, that was showing "delivered" to the buyer's address far before estimated delivery date, negative feedback was instantly removed.

One of the largest issues I have with eBay is some reps being able to actually think for themselves and others being totally hopeless

There is such a wide disparity between eBay reps in terms of ability and helpfulness that is makes it a real lottery too much of the time
