Did you know that after October 1st ANY sale from a member whether as buyer or seller will count for feedback?
At present if a buyer buys 3 items from you at the same time and leaves 3 pos or neg only ONE is counted. By the same token if you buy 3 items from a seller only one is counted to increase your fb score.
However after Oct 1 ALL are counted.
So if you (as a seller) have a lot of repeat or multiple buyers its much easier to get more and better fb for building up (legitimately) a newish selling ID to lift the Paypal hold or get a shop etc. The obvious upshot is that (as a buyer) you dont have to buy dodgy ebooks or wallpaper or bid on a whole lot of different cheap items from different sellers to quickly build up a new ID.
You can now do it much faster and legitimately by buying several items from one seller at the same time. So you only pay one lot of shipping.
The downside is that just as multiple positives from a buyer count as separate transactions so do multiple negs! So if a buyer who bought several items is unhappy they can really trash your account.

Yes I agree its a double edged sword so far as the negs are concerned. It leaves sellers open to malicious rivals and bad/insane buyers. Fortunately there are not too many really bad buyers in my area - I have only one neg in over 2000 transactions and that buyer was a real ***! Bought while my vacation settings were on during the Christmas holiday then whinged because I did not ship her item til after New Year. Totally anal.
However if you have built a brand so that you have a lot of good repeat buyers who come back on a regular basis and do multiple transactions it can be very good.
It's always been 2+ neg from 1 user all counted and the positives displayed as how many you'd received, but didn't add to your total if more than 1 from same user.
Eg. new seller
5 buyers buy 2 things, your total positive is 5
5 buyers buy 2 things and 1 leaves negatives for both, your feedback is 4 - 2 = 2
