Default buyer dispute potential neg feedback

i have a buyer, on my main account with 300+ feedback 99.7% positive, who claims not to have recieved item which was sent first class so no tracking, the paypal dispute is closed as they left it too long to respond during claim

however they are still disputing through ebay and are opening an ebay dispute, should i just send them a replacment item and hope i dont get bad feedback or 1/2 stars , they cant get their money back anyway but neg feedback is so costly these days it might be worth losing £20 and keep my good feedback

Wouldn't hurt to actually call your customer and have a conversation with them.

My customers Love the personal touch a phone call can give. I have worked out 100% of my issues with just a simple phone call.

Ebay can still deduct the money from your PP account. Has it been 15 days since posting? Has Royal Mail returned the item?

Most cases of non receipt are down to the buyer not collecting the item from PO.
Incorrect address provided.
Item with neighbour or work collegue.

Check with your buyer as suggested.

If he is a fraudster, send him a "Declaration of non receipt" legal type letter which he should sign and return. It's amazing how many items suddenly turn up.

If it is a small value item why not just send him another one? Sure you are out a little profit but which is more valuable to you? The cost of the item or a negative feedback?
