Selling eBooks to get Feedback? Yes or No?

I found a bunch of eBooks online which are said to be OK to redistribute, nothing to say they are under some none resell copyright. I looked hard.
Just says as long as the author is made clear and the eBook isn't edited.

Just that I tried to sell downloadable content before and it does get taken down at a somewhat fast rate. But eBooks are slightly different?

So would it be OK to sell them to get some quick and cheap feedback?

Also would Auctiva allow me to automatically send them to the buyers? Or is there another service that would allow me to just set up an autosend?

Have tried this before in my re-intro to eb ay days circa 2009. Lasted a while but you get nailed eventually so for longterm moves, I would not advice this - maybe periodic bursts.

You can even get nailed in RETROSPECT - months later so it's risky when so many other ways exist for feedback.

As for Auctiva or autosend services, I have no knowledge on this.

All the best.

Selling e-books in any quantity is NOT a good idea. There are so many cheap small items that you could legitimately sell to genuine buyers and so many small cheap items you could legitmately buy yourself if you want to build feedback. I sell vintage images to boost feedback volume - I buy em in big batches at auctions and just stuff them in an envelope. There are sooooo many small things like that you sould sell - sports cards, ads from old magazines, trade cards, this list is infinite.

you are actually alot safer "buying" really cheap ebooks to build your feedback....

that is not good, I have tried this before and something bad happen. Just be more careful if you want to sell ebooks.

I don't recommend you to sell ebooks because most of sellers doing so get limited sooner or later.

Actually, according to Ebay's policy, you are allowed to list ebooks on their site. Here's a snippet from where they discuss ebooks in the "Digitally delivered goods policy."

Quote:

An eBook, such as a compilation of recipes that you created and own the rights to sell, as long as you follow the requirements above and these restrictions:

If you're going to send an eBook by email or have it downloaded from a website, you need to:

- List it in the Everything Else category.

- Use the Classified Ad format.

If you list eBooks in a category other than the Everything Else category, you need to:

- Send the eBook by postal mail.

- Include the following text in your listing, word for word. We recommend copying and pasting it into your item description. Be sure to use the same font size as the rest of your description.

I will send this eBook by postal mail. Sending it by email or by any other digital delivery method is not allowed and violates eBay policy.
So you must list the ebooks as a classified ad in the Everything Else category unless you plan to actually ship out a CD with the PDF file on it.

But still, since Ebay's policy depends on who happens to work that day and how they interpret the policy, I wouldn't sell ebooks on Ebay just due to the fact that you will more than likely be banned eventually.

If you look at the sellers selling ebooks, they don't last long.
