Actually, according to Ebay's policy, you are allowed to list ebooks on their site. Here's a snippet from where they discuss ebooks in the "Digitally delivered goods policy." Quote:
An eBook, such as a compilation of recipes that you created and own the rights to sell, as long as you follow the requirements above and these restrictions:
If you're going to send an eBook by email or have it downloaded from a website, you need to:
- List it in the Everything Else category.
- Use the Classified Ad format.
If you list eBooks in a category other than the Everything Else category, you need to:
- Send the eBook by postal mail.
- Include the following text in your listing, word for word. We recommend copying and pasting it into your item description. Be sure to use the same font size as the rest of your description.
I will send this eBook by postal mail. Sending it by email or by any other digital delivery method is not allowed and violates eBay policy.
| So you must list the ebooks as a classified ad in the Everything Else category unless you plan to actually ship out a CD with the PDF file on it.
But still, since Ebay's policy depends on who happens to work that day and how they interpret the policy, I wouldn't sell ebooks on Ebay just due to the fact that you will more than likely be banned eventually.
If you look at the sellers selling ebooks, they don't last long.
