Default Buying ebooks for feedback

Will you likely get banned if you buy .01 - .15 cent auctions with the purpose of getting better feedback? Of course, ebay doesn't know for sure that it was your intention, but can they ban you for that? Is that likely?

Cool, thanks for the quick reply man.

I am just starting to get my business going on ebay. Is it a good idea to have multiple accounts? Right now I am just using the account I have from like 2004 that has like 7 feedback.

Yeah I usually try to keep at least 10, you'd be surprised how fast they can get shut down if you're not careful.

It is a must to have multiple accounts so you can make sure you can pay a bill or two. I would have saved alot of headache if i would have known about this forum

Welcome to the forum.
That's an unoriginal user name LOL

Grrr. Not a good idea. jbuntz is one of the few that recommends doing it. ebay looks at this as Feedback manipulation. Accounts get suspended.

You would be better to read a lot more of the forum for a start. And back to topic, allow yourself a budget of say $80. Buy a whole variety of items to earn FB. There are many threads about doing this. Suggest you read them before you race off and do something stupid

Ok cool. Thanks for the pointers!

As far as having multiple accounts goes, should I make them all under different names and different emails? Also, if I make them all on my computer, won't they all have the same IP adress...meaning that if one gets banned they all get banned?

I will keep studying the forum for myself but if anyone can help me out that would be great

Different names, different emails - for sure.

If you make them on one computer and you do not change your IP, they would all have the same IP. If you change it between accounts, the IP would not be the same.

If you have not yet obtained eBay Stealth, you really should do so before you proceed any farther. It will save you much time and will make everything so much clearer for you.

HaHa. Pushing it a bit,EA! There's a fine line between helping and spoon feeding. .

Yes you make different account with different names and emails.
Yes if you use the same IP address you might get banned.

Now, go read and find out exactly why: I'm only too happy to help you 'tweak' a plan. There's no rush to get back to ebay & amazon. Go slowly and win. Come back to this thread with your new knowledge,Grasshopper

This seems like a good thread for the following questions. Thank you everyone who has posted--I have learned so much from this forum! Alright, experts, your opinions please:

(1) I don't see how buying feedback is valuable; I want to sell for feedback. Do you think I can sell a $2 item BIN in a quantity of 10 without getting busted for feedback manipulation? How many times? And are these volume thresholds in terms of listings or sales? Specifically, if I list this quantity of 10 but actually sell 0, does eBay immediately forget about it like it never happened, or will they hold it against me?

(2) I want to then sell very high-priced items using classified ads, which of course do not integrate with the ebay dashboard selling tracking, etc. Is ebay going to respond to this as "We don't track this, therefore we don't see this, therefore how could we care" or is this going to come to their attention as me selling high-priced items? I have noticed that some people use classified ads with 1 cent listing prices that have nothing to do with the ad.

Thank you for your expertise; I appreciate it.

buying feedback is valuable because the point and way to have a long lasting stealth ebay/paypal is to make it seem ''real'. ''Real'' people new to ebay/paypal dont jump into selling, it is just not logical.

It is logical if you do it right, I don't even bother buying ebooks for feedback anymore because you don't really need it, you can sell anything with zero feedback, also you only get a 30 suspension when you buy or sell too many ebooks and that's only sometimes. Now I sell brand new adobe with zero feedback sells every time, just see how many listings you can find up right now, not all have zero feedback since I sell other stuff to. Any one ever heard of this ebay user easternsierragallery? If you've ever sold adobe, you've heard of him, pm me if you have.
