leaving positive with low shipping DSR.

http://www.aspkin.com/forums/ebay-su...back-left.html

What if the the item is as described but the seller charged $10 to ship and the shipping label says $2.75? Would it not be appropriate to leave a low shipping DSR? Yes you knew the shipping was high when you bid but it is still too high. I am a gold and silver coin seller and I am tired of paying $10 for shipping and the label comes back $2.75 or there abouts.

So you know it's too high even B4 you bid and then you want to moan after as well?

Strange, very strange.

I used to watch a certain TV program all the time, but I got tired of it.

My solution...

I quit watching it.

Simple :D

Isn't it called "Shipping & Handling" for a reason? It doesn't get into the package and to the shipping facility magically on its own. There are costs there and you don't know what the seller's cost may be.

Even as GreenBean stated, you were already content with paying the price, and now you want revenge? :suspicious:

Then just do not buy/bid.

It costs most of us money to:

A: Get to the post office (In NYC, that is a $2.25 bus fair EACH way - $4.50) What about gas for those of us who drive?

B: The packaging, if it is not sent priority, (since priority in the US starts at
$4.25) A bubble mailer STARTS at $1.30, with gold coins, most likely needs conformation = another 60cents, and that still does not cover postage of the actual sealed package..

C: what about insurance or signature conformation? The seller wants to cover their bum too :/

No one is forcing you to bid/buy and the shipping does not change too much once you win. You know all of this before hand.

I would suggest you try looking into auctions in your local area so you can pick up and avoid shipping :/

I feel sorry for genuine sellers :/
They get screwed for just trying to earn a living.

You feel that bad, then lave the DSR blank and move on to someone better.
Quality service usually is a little more then crappy service. And I, honestly would be willing to pay the price for my item to arrive in great condition then have the seller cut corners and have more complaints :/

By entering into this legal contract you are stating AS FACT you are fully agreed upon the terms of the contract. That THOSE are the terms that will govern the transaction

I'd hate to think you were being deceitful by "pretending" to be in agreement...all while knowing that anything that rubbed you wrong within those terms would incite you to justify retaliation against the Seller

.

All of the above are quite right - but it doesn't stop the bad feedback and DSRs does it?

The 'game' is constantly changing and we must change with it. I now offer free shipping on ALL domestic sales. It hurts but that's the nature of the beast we are playing with.

Couple that with dispatch within 24 hours and DSRs should not be a problem

:pop2:

Yeah like GrannyT sez, sellers need to be proactive to head off issues like this.

Sellers get a auto 5 star DSR for shipping if they offer "Free Shipping"

Sellers also get a auto 5 DSR for shipping fast and u/l tracking to E-Bay.

So unless there is some reason why a seller can't do these things, tough luck and quit whining on the net about low DSR's.

E-Bay grades on the curve and the sellers that offer below standard service and going to get suspended. That's the whole point of the DSR's. It's really not that hard to be in the top 10%.

If for some reason a seller can't offer free shipping, at least use stealth postage or a service like FedEx that doesn't show the cost on the label. There are lot of vindictive buyers like the OP and E-Bay isn't going to suspend the buyers like this, just the sellers that are unlucky enough to end up with buyers like this.

I just noticed this thread is a month old

And the OP hasn't logged in for two weeks
