Negative feedback after refund

hi.
I am selling headphones. Recently, a buyer has reported that he received a bad unit.
OK, so after a few questions I decided the item is actually faulty, and offered him a refund. He sent the item back and demanded the refund right away ("or I will leave you a bad feedback") so I refunded him + shipping costs.
Guess what, the negative feedback was left anyway. "Bad quality item, great communication".
This account has only 10 FB. That negative actually ruined my account. I don't sell much at all so if I open a new account that would take me a lot of time to restore my feedback.
Is there any way to report that feedback? Eb can easily see I refunded him, to his full satisfaction.
Thanks.

On what grounds?

Certainly he got the refund but all ebay will perceive is the buyer was troubled by a faulty item in the 1st case. ebay wants everything to be sweet for their buyers and no troubles of refunds.

Check your suppliers in future to prevent this happening again:typing:

Its like selling underwear. Yea sure most new ones come white but you sometimes find that brown one that left quality control in a hurry. Or if you have bought your underwear from China then your going to have more brown ones coming your way.

Make sure you check for the white ones only, no matter what country you bought the underwear.

you can try to report this transaction as unpaid and if ur buyer won't respond to it within the time frame they both will be removed :bump::bump::bump::bump:

Sometimes you can't open every package and make sure they are in top quality. Yeah, nothing you can do if a buyer is being a bitch and decides to leave you a neg. I have reversed some negatives into a positive however, try reasoning with him and ask for a feedback revision. I go with something along the lines of:

"I'm very sorry about the trouble we've caused you, but I depend on this account for extra side income to support my family in this tough economic time. Please consider revising your negative feedback, it would help us tremendously."

I've done it about 3 times and it works like a charm.

Thats feedback extoration to a point ebay will remove that for you. I used to have a store and I'd call them and get stuff removed. Some people are crazy, all you need is one nut to F up your whole operation

Email that idiot and tell him to stick the headphones up his ass

Hi,
Before you get mad and tell the buyer to go F*** himself, why don't you just politely remind the buyer that you're sorry for the trouble he/she had and you refunded the money ect. and ask that they revise the feedback to neutral.

This has often worked with me for buyers who were just determined to leave a bad rating no matter what. Try it. It worked for me!

We all get them sometimes

I almost always put in my note to them.

If you agree to leave a positive feedback I will just refund you fully and you can keep the item as a gift. Usually works.

That usually does work if the item is very low value. I've actually done it on items less than $25 or if it cost me next to nothing.

The only problem is those who buy a high price item and feel they should get to keep it and want the cash. I've had 2-3 of those in the past 2 years.

I've seen a handful of sellers who just sue any buyer that leaves or threatens negative feedback. It is very easy to get someone subpenaed if they aren't using stealth details.
