this is the type of stupidity were going to have to put up with now, it'll make it even harder for you guys to keep your powerseller status.

" Today, the biggest issue with the system is that buyers are more afraid than ever to leave honest, accurate feedback because of the threat of retaliation. . "

Assuming that all negative feedback is honest and accurate is one of the many utterly ridiculous statement to come from the ebay camp about this.

The change to the non-paying bidder system is pointless because the malicious buyers who don't pay simply need to type a response to your complaint, and your "recourse" is lost.

Last year, when they started the Mass suspensions, and the Dsr's, they were actually counting the Neuts as negs, there are posts here about that from last year..

Just fyi-- Heres the pop up buyers get now:
Buyers, you can no longer receive negative or neutral Feedback from sellers.
You should leave honest and accurate Feedback without the fear of receiving negative or neutral ratings.

becca073 05-21-2008 06:06 PM

Why even have neutrals then if they count as negatives toward your ratings?

Jonas 05-21-2008 09:28 PM

Negatives still get you suspended faster I think.

This really makes no sense. Positive: A good Transaction (+1) Neutral: An ok transaction(0)
Negative: A bad transaction (-1). Now why would a neutral count against us? It is a neutral transaction. Not Good. Not Bad. The transaction was Fair. I think someone needs to send the definition of neutral over to ebay. They must not get it.

Garubolas 05-22-2008 08:16 AM

ebay dont care about the sellers, they just want money. That is why they impose draconian rules and shift risk to sellers. Why? because they can. If they are fair, they should have a 3rd feedback column for ebay which buyers and sellers can leave. example:

Are you satisfied with ebay? positive, neutral, negative.

Is your s-hole being raped by ebay? positive, neutral, negative.

Are you tired of being ripped off by bad buyers and not being able to do anything about it?positive, neutral, negative.

Is ebay practising taxation without representation? positive, neutral, negative.

It was a mistake to support ebay in the beginning. Absolute power corrupts. Now that it has become so big with no competent competitor, its basically a communist regime.

Hi, i don't think this is true anymore? at least i am in australia and my neutral is not affecting my feedback scores!!

I was just about to ask what can these neutrals do if I have more of them.

n4spd 06-06-2009 10:14 PM

i guess ebay will just track your percentage not the exact amount of neg, or neutral if counts, unless you have a sudden increase in them.

The negatives and neutrals suck but I have always seen ppl with very poor feedback like 20% fb, and they still have lots of bids and sales? It didnt hurt that seller too much as far as sales goes. He paid for featured listing, but I guess its all about what you're selling if its in high demand.
