Revenge Positive Feedback Not Working - offending text gets deleted
 

I've already started to think on how I can leave negative feedback in a positive way when eBay will stop allowing sellers to leave true negatives. I've been thinking something like:

Something that other sellers can easily spot..

What are your thoughts?

it's about our only option, but after the feedback becomes a month or two old and it is on their second page of feedbacks, no one is going to see it any way.

i don't understand why ebay will even have a percentage rating for buyer accounts anymore. every single buyer is going to look outstanding because they will all have 100% feedback.

i sometimes block someone who emails me or bids on one of my items if they have like a 93.2% rating. now every idiot can bid on my stuff, and it's gonna be hit or miss if they pay. i also have buyers blocked who have 2 negs in the last month. i guess that option is gone now too.

man, i am so ticked off.

I was only reminded of this change yesterday. I dont think leaving negative comments on positive feedback is really worth while.

If a buyer was threatening to neg me i would probably find more fun and use in pulling out a few tricks from the bag. ie: prank them all through the nite, sign them up to all sorts services, ie: dogwash, window wash, gardening services, tree stump removal service, strippergram service, pizza delivery service etc. obviously not from your home phone, but from a payphone or something.

you have there address and phone number from ebay, so make good use of it i think. Im sure someone would get sick of this enough not to neg you for somthing stupid.

I am thinking about my items for over $200- blocking/cancelling bids for buyers under 100 fb?
When I did an analysis for my buyers of my items that are high ticket, their feedback ranges average from 118--5240, then taking the number of sales divided by the fb, it averages to 470 avg..

On some of my higher end items i ask for buyers with 0 feedback or that have incurred a negative feedback to message me before they bid, of course they never do because they are just idiots.

I just let them bid my items up then at the last minute block them so someone else can outbid them, then they start whinning to me ohhhh why cant i bid bla bla bla.

I just read you also can't leave neutral anymore. For me, it is quite clear. If someone leaves me a negative where I'm not at fault, I will get him suspended.

oh yes there's going to be even more suspensions, and at the hand of the buyers.

Of course, since eBay said they will remove negative feedbacks if the buyer is suspended. Seems to be my options are clear now. You leave me negative without reason, I will get you suspended so that it is removed.

Noooo, not publically. In PM/email/IM I was referring to.

From what I can see, they will remove all negatives from all buyers, no matter how long they've been registered. But they will leave positives if they are older than 90 days.

if there is some reason why i deserve a negative then that's fine, but for the buyers who are just plain idiots and leave them for stupid reasons then yes i would love to get them suspended to get the neg removed. i avoid negs at all cost, and work with the buyers to resolve. i have going over this a million times, and i cannot for the life of me figure out how to get a buyer suspended. getting a seller suspended isn't that hard. i will have to do some research.

I'm just not going to bother leaving any good feedback for any of my customers, regardless if the transaction was good.

I think all sellers should do the same.

File non paying buyer alerts. When a buyer gets 3 of these, they are killed by ebay.

In reading the ebay feedback forums which are ON FIRE about all this, I read about a buyer, reaper-69, who negged a seller, then the seller left a less than stellar positive. Within a day, the text of his positive was removed!!

It now reads "This comment has been removed by eBay" and the kicker is the little jerk keeps the positive towards his score!

id rather get them back using there details to either have them pranked through the night or order services to there address.

ebay's policy states that a postive feedback with a negative comment will get removed. i left a reply about this in another post a couple of days ago.

If you leave an negative comment to a buyer Ebay removes the comment but leaves the green postive and writes "This comment removed by EBay". When you see a comment like that go and check what that buyer has left for others! This is actually a nice heads up! I thought this was a good idea also, but I checked the "Feedback Abuse" link and changed my mind. I mentioned earlier ebay told me that if you leave a non paying bidder a positive with "non paying bidder" that the non payer gets their strike removed because you left them positive.

eBay's feedback policy doesn't say that can be removed at all. Nor does it's feedback abuse policy say that.

Use there details to make an account. Get them suspended and *bam* Neg removed.

jonas, i said that the feedback will be removed if you leave a negative comment in a positive feedback. and we as the seller could get suspended for leaving these kind of feedbacks.

twdell, I know. It's just that eBay doesn't actually say that on its site. It's one of its unwritten rules.

Negative statements that conflict with a positive rating

Personally identifying information about another member, including real name, address, phone number, or e-mail address

Political, religious or social commentary rather than a genuine comment about the transaction

The comment, reply or follow-up references a completely separate transaction or unrelated experience

Profane, vulgar, obscene, or racist language or adult material

Inflammatory language, such as "fraud, liar, cheater, scam artist, con man" etc., while strongly discouraged, will not be removed

Surely the best thing is, is not to leave them any feedback? By leaving them feedback all you are doing is increasing their trust score.

I don't think leaving any kind of comment is going to work, people won't read it and think well, I'm not going to deal with them...

Reading the feedback forums at ebay has become more high comedy than anything else. Alot of buyers are upset. This guy is a piece art, what a clown

I thought feedback was removed if the user was NARUd? Their feedback remains nice and alive...

I read today in an interview with that ebay dude who makes ebay global rules that its true. However, they won't disappear until June.

eBay claimed they wouldn't ruin feedback until July and NARU'd users would get their feedback auto-removed in mid-may.

Well eBay ruined feedback early and still won't remove NARU'd user feedbacks.

Yes my friends, Ebay specifically states that "Negative" comments in a positive feedback will be removed by Ebay......And they are doing it. All that has to happen is for the buyer to report it to Ebay....

I would not try leaving negative comments.....Ebay might frown and get you suspended....

I have a non paying bidder on my hands and not sure if I should bother filing a dispute because I don't want them to leave me negative feedback.

It's been 12 days and they are ignoring my emails!

If they don't answer me ever, I file it straight away. If the buyer has set out to neg you, they will harass you and make you think if you do something they won't neg you, but in the end it never was in your control and they will stll neg you.

She finally paid me. Sheesh.
