 . NEW Ebay rules -- My game plan
This is my new Game plan adapted to the new ebay policies: 1- Post feedback for buyer as soon as you ship item, informing date of delivery in the same fb note.
This is the only way to compete against scared sellers now. FB now loses weight as a negotiation tool so by giving it first, you have all to win and nothing to lose. Why? If buyer threatens NEG you then say "Go ahead" , negs will be so normal they lose the leverage factor. Since they can't be withdrawn anymore, negging a seller won't help to get freebies. You will keep selling despite of negs. By the other hand leaving quick FB entices honest buyers to give back fb as soon as they get the stuff.
2- Pending payments for small $ items: ship right away even before it clears.
This is a cheap way of giving good impression to customers, with low risk of payment not clearing. Don't be greedy! 3- Write in your TOS your aprox. arrival date is longer than real.
I like it when I call a cab and they say "Please wait between 10 and 15 mins" and then the car is here in 5/10mins. I will keep calling the same agency. They are not faster than other services, they are just using an old marketing tool that still works. 4- Think of negatives and refunds as a normal part of this new business model
Negs will be so normal, buyers will adapt to the new figures. Just follow them up being cool with sense of humour and sales will flow as usual. Expect to give refunds from time to time. 5- BEG for feedback, it WORKS. Use shipping confirmation email plus packing slip. AGAIN: USE A PACKING SLIP! Please allow XXX business days for arrival.
Positive feedback has been left on your ebay account.
We appreciate your feedback in return when you find it appropiate.

And beg for feedback again in the packing slip inside the parcel.
Using this method I got quickly +20fb on brand new acc with following DSRs:
5.0, 5.0, 4.9 and 4.9.
ALL my orders are shipped to foreign countries which makes game more difficult.
Rules have changed, either you adapt or game over!
