Default Ebay no longer allows you to see what a buyer has bought in the past?

Who's the genius that thought that was a good idea? So now I can't see if a buyer has bought and ripped off other sellers.

Ebay buyers really are untouchable now.

Its really getting to become a headache.

Hidden feedback
Hidden names
Hidden history...

Ugh...

It's a good thing when they leave feedback (buyers), competitors can't see there ebay name. So now they can't message your buyer to bad mouth your product because the name is hidden.

I went on, because a buyer almost automatically opened a paypal dispute then converted into a claim, all without even sending me a message. I wanted to see what they've been buying and if this was the first time. Then, bam, NOTHING.

Why is it that every time ebay MIGHT have a good intention, they royally screw everything else up?

I can't imagine how someone can have a full time, sustainable business on ebay. I'm only selling off what I have left. That's the only reason I came back.

This works both ways, including building eBay feedback with ⊗⊗⊗⊗ buyers..

I do find it kinda of stupid though. What's the point of history if you can't view it?

I think it actually got worse now that I am going through my accounts.

I watch many of my stealth accounts (follow) to track my feedback and pending offers through one main account.

I noticed that the names are not even showing up as the correct ebay ID name.

Ex: Janesmith347 usually would be J*********7
Now they are showing up as T***5 and I KNOW its Janesmith347..

This is going to be a hassle.

Anyone else getting this??

cj yeh bids are mixed up name with asterisks, so you cannot tell who, but the feedback number in brackets is true one.

The banning antics of Amazon aside...it's actually much higher quality...but that whole A-to-Z claim is VERY unsettling

Yea, now I see you can't even the the user name of the buyer who leaves a seller feedback. I use to sometimes browse through competitors and if I saw they got a negative or something from a problematic buyer add them to my block list.

Seems like eBay wants more and more sellers to have to deal with crummy buyers. Just makes my life much more stressful.

So I figured something else out. Unless it's just me, I seem to be able to see what people bought, when using the iphone app. Seems like there are quite a few run arounds that involve the iphone app, for good or bad.

I bought two things from a person, and at the last minute, both items had bid retractions. So my radar went up, but I let it go. This morning I was messing around, and then checked his feedback, and he has like 50 feedback from a .02 cents listings. Crap.

I was actually starting to like this new feature lol because I've been buying a lot of stuff that I plan on reselling/parting.

Can anyone else confirm or deny this for me?

This is why they insist on handing over all your supplier details?

Actually, tested by me, you can see what a buyer bought, doesn't always work but if both buy and sell feedbacks are close enough you should be able to sort it out.

Go to his feedback history page (buyer).

Point one item he has bought and follow the link to the seller (take note of the date the feedback was left anfd how many feedbacks the buyer has)

On the seller page you can see the sold items.

Find the date when the feedback was left (more or less)

Fint in that period a buyer that has similar feedbacks to the one you are looking for (could differ from one or two..).

If matches, that's the item.

It take some time... and I hope what I wrote above make sense to you.
