You are probably best with a mixture of cheap physical items and more medium priced items that you actually need/want! I was starting some new accounts recently and I bought things like camera batteries, sim cards, pens, sticky tape, cello bags, and hobby stuff. I mixed in some "collectables" as well. So there was no real pattern. I just bought a few items a week.

Don't buy or sell items intended solely for the purpose of gaining feedback.

Buy cheap stuff you really will use. Tape, padded envelopes, packs of hi-lite markers, etc.
