| ihatebay | 04-09-2007 09:14 PM | eBay fees Forum - Best Ways to Pay, Avoiding Linking on Multiple Accounts Hi everyone! I need your advice. So, I lasted long enough to have to pay my bill which was due on the 31st. Since I signed up with a ⊗⊗⊗⊗ CC and lost the number I can't reload it.
I made a new paypal account a few months ago using a ⊗⊗⊗⊗ name and stuff. I just send people refund, and sometimes receive money. However it is not linked nor have been linked to any ebay account.
Could I use this paypal account to pay my one time sellers fees without getting linked to people's payments to me from other Ebay accounts? I will create a new email for this Paypal.
Is this okay? Someone please reply, I don't know how can I pay my sellers fees! Thank you |
| whome | 04-09-2007 11:21 PM | Doesn't ebay take checks and money orders for sellers fees? |
| ihatebay | 04-10-2007 07:13 AM | Well I just need to use it to pay my sellers fees. My check books all have my real name and stuff, so I don't know I can get suspended with my new account.
If you are all sure I won't get linked by Ebay I'm gonna do it =). Thank you |
| sparksmoney31 | 04-20-2007 05:18 PM | eBay fees Forum - Best Ways to Pay, Avoiding Linking on Multiple Accounts Whats up everybody, I have a question. I just created my ned ebay account with aspkin's formula, and I need to know the best way to pay the ebay fees without getting my paypal accounts linked, and them re-suspending me. Your alls guidance will be greatly appreciated. |
| aspkin | 04-21-2007 01:16 AM | You can make a "one time payment", via seller tools area in eBay. It's either seller tools, or seller options. Select to make a "one time payment", enter the amount you want to pay, login to you Paypal account and select to pay. There will be no linking of your Paypal account. |
| Chris Hanson | 07-18-2007 02:01 PM | eBay fees Forum - Best Ways to Pay, Avoiding Linking on Multiple Accounts I made a one time payment and paid my fees thru paypal with my regular everday credit card. I had to put in Paypal my real name and address. Do you thin Ebay will see my payment information and link me? Is ebay able to see the name of the person that paid the fess? really I don't think they look at that but just thought I ask. |
| georgesmith | 07-18-2007 02:18 PM | Why didn't you create a paypal account with the simon card or whatever virtual card you used? eBay and PayPal are the same, pretty much one entity. Whatever you do to stay safe on eBay you need to do on PayPal as well. |
| Chris Hanson | 07-18-2007 05:25 PM | Because I hate paypal |
| georgesmith | 07-18-2007 05:36 PM | Because you hate it you use real info? lol |
Paying ebay fees with Amex gift card / using AMEX American Express with PayPal Hey guys
I was trying to pay for a $10 merchandise I am buying on ebay, I try to add AMEX gift card into the paypal acct, it keeps saying " your card has been declined by your credit card issuer, call them for detail..." so I did, AMEX people told me now paypal won't take AMEX gift card anymore. I hope paypal won't start to not allow mastercard and visa card gift card. if that's the case then we're screwed ! since we wont be able to use gift card on paypal, then can't cover up our idendity right? anyone has any suggestion on any other service that can replace paypal? I am so sick of pay pal and ebay is making money left and right from us! I tried Bidpay, it seems good, any other ones?
Thanks
Altu;) |
| imjustme | 08-08-2007 12:52 AM | It seems a bit strange that they don't accept AMEX. I always thought they can't tell the difference between Virtual/Gift cards and real cards? Maybe there is something you missed? |
I think I checked everything, and you just enter the # and security code and expiration date as normal credit card... I think paypal is starting to swap info with ebay and working on be more stricked on all the ⊗⊗⊗⊗ info we are entering? what do you think guys? |
| aspkin | 08-08-2007 01:54 AM | It's probably an AMEX thing. A lot of places I know don't accept them. Visa and Mastercard should still and always been okay to use. |

I believe you said I can get one of those Visa/Masterday Gift Cards to pay my ebay seller fees is this correct? Please reply... |
| aspkin | 08-13-2007 06:46 AM | Sure why not. It's just like a regular credit card. A better way to pay is with your Paypal account. All you have to do is select to make a 'One time payment' via seller options and make a payment. This will not link your account. |

I have never had a problem withdrawing money with my PP account (it is a verified premier account)
If I (as a result of having my other EB accounts banned, isn't that why we are all here?) were able to get my new EB account up and running I could use the old PP account that serviced two previously banned EB accounts to pay my fees? My gawd, I would think that would be the quickest way to get "linked"
I have already deleted the first banned email from the PP account. Are you saying if I get a new Email addy (say this time through AOL) register a new account at EB with it, and then add it to the existing PP account that I get back in that easily? Of course a week or two later I would add a gift card so that I could sell 2 or 3 $10/per items.
Please tell me, do I outline a viable way of getting back into EB and continuing to use my existing PP on the new EB account? I sure hope so, but would like some advice from some of the experts here.
I have never had an issue getting money withdrawn from my PP account (one time it was frozen due to a dispute from a nutcase buyer who had buyer's remorse and filed a dispute, I issued a refund and the whole thing was cleared up in a day) so I have no qualms continuing to use it if it doesn't end up killing the newly established EB account. I just don't want it to get "linked" to a new EB account once I get that up and running.
If I put the "new Email addy" in a listing on my "new EB account" in order to accept PP, will that get me linked to the old banned EB account, even if all of the emails associated with previously banned accounts have since been replaced?
Can I use that PP to receive payment for the item if I don't check PP in the listing, but put it in the text of the listing and then send the buyer an invoice?
The way that Aspkin put it seems way too easy for a situation like mine, but I sure would like to hear that it has been proven to work I just want to get back up and selling! |
| ckhughes_99 | 08-13-2007 11:07 AM | Need Virtual Card to Pay EBAY fees Hello. I have used Visa Gift Cards & Corporate Reward Cards to purchase cards in the past. However, the Virtual Visa card is not available now. And, I have had a terrible time with Simon Property Group. It will not allow me to purchase a card either. It tells me to contact customer service, which is a lost cause since it will not go through. Does anyone have another suggestion for me to purchase a VIRTUAL card that can be emailed to me. I need to pay my fees to continue selling and don't use Paypal. PLEASE HELP!!! |
| x2ruff4u | 08-22-2007 11:21 AM | Those are the only 2 I know and as a matter of fact I get an error saying its unavailable. Which brings me back to the forum. Is ebay catching on? |

I have a Simon Mall here where I live. I am assuming that I can just walk in there and get an actual plastic card and get selling again.
If that is the case, they don't have a name on the card I get at the mall other than something generic like "preferred shopper"
Will EB ask for a name on the card and if so do they have any way of verifying that the name is on the card?
If they do and can personalize the card on the spot I'm assuming that I can give them the bogus name as the gift recipient?
If that is the case I'll just get that card, use it to register to sell, get an account going, zero out the card to buy something else and pay through "one time payments" through PP
Does this sound like a plan? |
| Chris Hanson | 08-22-2007 02:47 PM | you can always buy a gift card from your local bank |
| coopster72 | 08-22-2007 03:06 PM | Has anyone had an negative experience with "All Access" cards from the gas station. |

Who issues it?
Visa or MC
What bank like Capital One or some other national bank?
Do they put some sort of name on it? | | All times are GMT -5. The time now is 02:38 PM. | |
