Default $1000 eBay Fees - a question for Modee

Hey Modee,

I have read your old messages on this forum regarding how to avoid ebay fees. My account was suspended 20 days ago and last week, I received my last invoice from ebay (about $1000). They told me that I have to make the payment within 21 days, otherwise they will automatically withdraw it from my bank account. I had my real name, last name and address on that account. Also, paypal has my SS# and every possible info including my bank account # etc... Do you think there is a way to avoid this $1000 or if I chose not to pay, are they gonna send me letters or force me to pay $1000? eBay ruined all my business so I am totally mad at them and I wish I could avoid this $1000 somehow.

Thank you.

Default Of course you don't pay...

just call your bank and say you believe your bank account information was violated by a phishing sight or some other mechanism, and you need to know how to protect it from access.

Make sure both your accounts are projected, if you had a credit card as well.

Most likely, they will change your account numbers.

Good? Fine. Great? Wonderful.

Finally, if you just got suspended and want to negotiate with EBAY now, do it. If you really owe them the money, negotiate in as good a faith as possible to restore your account.

If they deal with you like assholes, treat them as such. If they treat you like professionals, treat them as such.

Thank you.

Thank you so much ebayaintstupid for your response. I was a powerseller on ebay and had an account manager. She used to call me once in awhile to check if everything was okay. Now that they closed my account(because it was linked to a suspended user),she doesn't answer me anymore. I would like to negotiate with them but I don't think they will restore my account anymore. However, I will contact my bank on Monday and what they can do but the only thing I am afraid of is that since they have my real name, last name and address, don't u think they will try to find me and get the $1000?

Yea, when it's a matter of $100, you can ususally charge back okay. But $1000 is a lot.

Although, if they pulled your listings I guess you could dispute some of that charge.

Default Ebay account suspended. Fee's from Paypal. Can I dispute?

Long story short I had a main account suspended and they did not refund my listing fee's. I sent several emails trying to dispute the charges to no avail (And basically to no real emails)

The Fee's have been automatically pulled from my paypal account balance. Think I have any hope disputing these charges with paypal?

I actually really want to keep this paypal account because I use it as a merchant account for my website.

IMHO I would call the credit card company tell them I lost the card, clode the bank accounts linked to them, send ebay a certified letter telling them you think your account was hijacked and you could be the victim of identity theft, also you have contacted a lawyer as to how they got the info form ebay, and will not be paying the $1000. Most likely they will drop it, but it the most it will go to collections and you can fight it or pay it then. Worth a try anyway.

HI GUys:
I guess this all depends on your Volume, and if youre a Serious Seller or not?
If I were to try to set up a brick /mortar store--how much would it cost before I got my daily sales up to $1,000/day.. So- when I pay my fees, I keep this in mind..
Heres this months fees...on my Largest Selling acct:

Whoa! the most I paid in one month was $140, then again, I'm not a powerseller, just making a little cash on the side.

ebayhateluv - eBay ought to be rolling out the red carpet, you are giving them a ton of money each month, and that's on one account?

Wow!

most likely somewhere in the thousands, but fees like that they will shut you down first and start calling you constantly.

Default Dumping eBay for fees, with new PayPal verified requirement

I like to dump eBay for fees, I done it only once, for 1 month, worth of $200 in fees, it was the most fun I had. I made $500, not counting in extra shipping, plus that $200. Beautiful.

Now they want a verified PayPal account in order to sell.

Thus my question is how to dump them fees now?

My fear is that after it's all done they have a bank account number, which they can:

1) deduct money from
2) freeze
3) request bank to provide my personal information so they could come after me

So, tell me your thoughts on this, please.

HI:
NOt sure I really understand your problem/theory?

Constantly reneg on fees- how do you ever build up a good feedback rep?

* Over the years--(On my products anyhow)-- I have consistently proved to MYSELF--that i can get 20,30,even 40% MORE for my items, on PS accts, with larger fb, than with new accts.. (just a thought)

If you're worried about your bank account, simply remove it from Paypal before you let the account go. Easy, easy. Or cancel the account (change account number), another easy.

Default will "lost my card" work?

Suspended seller who disputes the ebay fee charges by calling the CC company to report the card stolen. Will that work, or will ebay claim that "I" did make this payment to them, and not someone else who stole or found the card?

Jack123, if you have a history of the same payments on the same card, dispute for not as described / not delivered instead of stolen.

I owed $400 on the 1st account. The funny thing is, i did fine when i owed $400. I got suspended after paying $300 and was finally up to date!! i paid every single day prolly like $15+ a day or whenever i could. I use one time payment by paypal before the due date.

They email me to change and update my CC info all the time and i just use the same one LOL. i use to think that i had to get different gift card each time they asked but i found out that i didnt have to!

But i owed $400+ over a year, and paid minimal. And never had any problem!! till last month and i got suspended, not bc of the fees though.
