Default Ebay sellers fees

I'm due to pay my Ebay sellers fees, and they told me that they will be trying to take the money out within a time frame of 5 days(annoying, why can't they tell me the exact frigging day?!)

I set up my ebay so that my seller's fees are taken from my entropay card. That card currently has nothing in it, neither does the bank account it's attached to.

I have funds in my Paypal account, but I heard it's a bad idea to pay Ebay fees in this way, because of possible linking. But what I don't understand is, if my Paypal is already linked anyway with my Ebay, then what's the hassle with paying with PP?.

I tried to list some items and I got a message from Ebay saying that they don't have a reinbursement method for me on file, so I can't list new items. But I checked and I have my Entropay card on file for paying fees. Does this mean they tried to charge the card and it was rejected?.

I'm happy to wait it out for a couple of days until I have cash in the account that is linked to Entropay to pay my fees if need be.

It means your card didnt pass the authorization review. You need at least $1.00 on the card to be "pinged" - $3.00 is safe.

Can I still use that card to pay fees when I put credit on it?

Sure you can. Remove and re-enter the card.

When you say $3 is safe, safe for me not to have to re-enter card information? What happens if I add the card and it has more than $3 but not enough to cover my fees?

$3 is safe to allow for the authorization ping. Not covering the fees is bad and could lead to suspension. I would plop the right amount + 3$ and you should be ok to pay it.

I foolishly set up my Entropay with my old bank account, and not my stealth bank account which has the cash in it. Going to take a few days to transfer money now. Difficult because i'm overseas and have to do everything electronically

Is paying fees with Paypal really a bad idea?

Slapped I think had a long post about not paying via Paypal. I forget the link. In the past I used to pay via Paypal - did not cause me problems. But as for "really a bad idea", I don't have much to contribute on that.

Yep I read that, but I couldn't see any clear cut reasons for not paying with PP. Don't know whether to pay with PP or wait a few days until I have founds in my bank linked to Entropay

Kris please don't join the smart arses in here who reply to each question with 'the search box is your lover' or 'have you read the book?, I mean at least 20 times?!. Only then can you be a real stealth Jedi!'

Hey now Sasasasa... I was only trying to contribute a bit to a forum that has helped me out a ton. I dont recall saying anything about the Stealth Book or the search bar in my post... I provided a link that answered my similar questions, and I assumed might help answering yours.

Your welcome.

LOL. No worries Sasasasa. If I was going to make a joke, it would be a lot funnier than that!!! I see now that the link is not working... not sure if I posted it incorrectly or if something is wrong with it, but thanks to Greenbean for posting it again! Hope it helps you.

hi, dont use entro to pay your ebay fees. ive tried it about 6 times.
each time they take the fee off the card, then about 2-3 weeks later the fee gets refunded and the card gets banned from ebay.
