Default Debt Collectors calling for O/S fees

One of my accounts got suspended a couple of months ago. Now I have got a debt collectors firm constantly phoning me leaving messages. I have never spoken to them. I am not sure what to do. Do I log into suspended account and pay fees - I read somewhere that once suspended don't log back in or you can get linked! Is this true? Any advice please? What should I do?

if you worried you could always pay them from an internet cafe or mc d's

mc d's is free internet access.

Agree with TizWoz - i am guessing that they have your real info on file? DO NOT log in using the same comp/IP of your other good accounts.

Ok thanks for the advice. I will log in using a different computer like you say and just pay the fees. Has this happened to other people?

Of course ha - I get phone calls from few stealth accounts for fees owed to eb and pp. I got suspended before I could cancel the transaction so HE LL no am I paying fees on auctions that never got completed.

Otherwise, on my proper accounts, I pay up - quite a bit this past month ugh.

Right but I am not sure the debt collectors company have got my real details, I think they just have my soho telephone number which was registered on my stealth account. Therefore if I ignore them, what could eventually happen?

If they just have your phone number - like they do with my previous stealth accounts - all you will get are incessant phone calls and letters to your account address. That is all. Close the number if you can.

Now if you keep doing this for thousands and thousands of dollars...well there is a post in the forum of a recent problematic user on eb ay who got some prison years...but that's a big case with lots of outstanding factors.

Oh no! I think it will be easier all round if I just pay them and then I can just forget about it. Thanks for advice. Will cancel phone number as well so they will stop hounding me.

Just send them a cca request, that will get them off your back, deny all knowledge of any debt to Ebay

Or pay the damn thing because they owe the money. When you know more of the details make that suggestion but not beforehand, ffs.

Well i'm not saying people should avoid paying their fees, but how she check the amount the debt collection agency claims she owes them when she can't access her account?.

I would at least file a CCA request to get them off my back and refer the matter back to Ebay.
