Change eBay account name for managed payments

Hi all,

So I know managed payments is fairly new and there is not much info on it yet.
I am thinking about changing the account holder name to mine so the name will match my bank account before being forced to opt in.
Has anyone tried this? What are your thoughts?
It is an eBay Canada account is that makes a difference.

It's never a good idea to change any info in an eBay account. That'll trigger a doc request usually on its own.

You're better off waiting for adyen to do it during the application process

Ive changed names on ebay accounts a few times, UK ones, when attaching new PayPals after the original were limited, and never had any issues. Never lost an eBay account at all.

eBay UK are suggesting changing the name on business accounts anyway to match business accounts.

If you change it now, you run the risk of causing an issue with PayPal. Wait for PayPal to be turned off and MP turned on, at that point youll need to submit info.

This is my course of action when it happens anyway.

I think changing account info will not be an issue. My only concern is identifying the account since they are switching over to the same system that amazon uses. I'm hoping that they won't make us ID the account or they won't let us sell.

I've changed my address and Shipping registration address etc. several times I have never had a Doc request from ebay once.

i am just wondering if I change my name what that is going to do ....
as I am using "stealth names" on my ebay accounts so I am going to change my ebay account to business accounts before going to MP and hopefully it will work.
