Name on your identity card does not match the PREVIOUS name on your eBay account
 

So this has been a long and tiresome journey to get my stealth account turned into a legit account. I received a notice to upload an ID, I changed the eBay info after this notice to my real info. I thought it had been done when I switched to MP but it didnt.

I sent in my real ID to match the eBay details and then today I get this message from eBay:

We appreciate you submitting your government ID, but unfortunately, the name on your identity card does not match the PREVIOUS name on your eBay account. We will need the government ID for ****** *** or a detailed explanation for the name not matching.

To help remove the restriction on your account:

Send a clear image of your driver's license (front *AND* back) or other government issued ID
-- The submitted documents must be current, valid, the entire image, readable, and unaltered
-- The submitted documents must have an expiration date
-- Copies or Scans of ID’s will not be accepted
-- Temporary/Paper ID’s will not be accepted

>>Suggestion: For best results, you should use a cell phone to take a *PHOTO* image

Note: Please do NOT change the name on your account until this matter has been resolved.

So if i understand your problem correctly.. You switched to MP under the stealth information, and then later changed it to your own? Probably too late, i thought you can't go MP without adding a SSN/EIN what did you put in when you converted to MP to begin with ?

I put in all my real info and when it switched over to MP nothing had changed and so I thought I had to change it manually after that.

The stakeholders details are also my real details as well. I have to either submit a false stealth ID or make up some detailed explanation of why names dont match.

You could make up why names don't match, but when it comes to them asking for ID, ditch it and move on would be best.

Ive never heard of this issue, or i am not understanding.. Because nobody else has said they asked for ID when they gave proper managed payment conversion details.

I think the OP tried to changed from stealth account into a legit account and there asking for ID.

Looks like changing to real details AFTER submitting stealth info in the MP portal triggered this ...

Not really sure what to suggest now there won't be many people in this position as it's all still new.

Well my wife is an attorney, I would probably make up a contract stating that the stealth seller has sold all assets and accounts to my company. You think that would fly? Better that then sending an ID that I know will get flagged

Make a new account.

Your wife makes more money than that account is worth if they should figure out that she did something illegally for you.

Give it a go and share the experience. Isn't any different than getting creative with other aspects of stealth.

I was required to submit my photo ID front and back. When MP took over. Note: my account isn’t a stealth account

So I got an ID from easystealth.us and put the stealth info on the account and it was approved. I did not remember the birthdate so I just made one up

My account is no longer restricted!
