As JamesNorth101 has said, it's going to be worldwide so there's no getting away from it.
Using your scenario, you'd be required to have your bank account domiciled in France, your country of residence and you'd be paid in the local currency even if you do not sell on the .fr domain. You can list items on the .co.uk or .com domains but all the info above will still hold.
If you list on a domain extension that is managed by a payment entity different than yours, your settlement will be handled by two different entities before it gets to your bank.
Don't take this as a final position but I've read that data brokers (not your regular credit reference agencies) are now involved. If there's any truth to that, then I think MP will change stealth - significantly pivoting from what it once was when we had only PayPal to worry about.
Anyway, I don't expect eBay to surpass Amazon in difficulty in one giant leap, yet Amazon is still possible. |
