Just an update to my current situation, I hope more info will help clear things out for everyone.

I started switching to MP from my main account (not stealth, not professional).
At first I tried linking 2 italian bank accounts that were not in my name, they linked no problem but payments were refused bank side.
So I contacted both banks and the final answer is that banks can see the ebay name related to the incoming ebay payment: if this doesn't match with bank account name payment is refused, not much to do about it.

So I created a new bank account online, in my name, and linked it to MP.
I'm receiving regular payments for a week now, no requests from ebay so far :behindsofa:

I'm thinking about switching my 2 stealth accounts to MP, changing ebay name to the same one of the 2 bank accounts I will link to them.

Any ideas/comments are much welcome.

Nice contribution MustardLover - seems like those 2 other banks who refused eb payments were not stealth-friendly

Thank you for sharing that info.

1) You can test other traditional Italian banks and you probably can find some that accept mismatch names transfers

2) You can test digital banks, like Revolut etc, that accept mismatch names transfers

3) If you are unable to find a solution for mismatch transfers, you can try to change the accounts name to yours and leave address and DOB stealth. I hope this way they cannot link your accounts.

MP Italy asked you for some documents upload (ID, bank statement) ?

I am testing a few banks right now: Payoneer (with different Citybank EUR IBANs)and N26.

Not many results so far but Payoneer seems to work with mismatched names.

Payoneer is accepting MP deposit in mismatched name on Italian eBay personal account.

No issues or additional verification required.

Just submitted Payoneer IBAN or they forced you to log in through eBay ?

add IBAN manually it is accepted.

Payoneer account has to be Citybank in EUR

Payoneer has worked for me well over the years for Paypal UK, but I remember that receiving money from EU accounts to the IBAN we problematic, ID requests. Then again that was a few years ago.

Wirecard was not accepted. I asked the customer service to convert mine into Citybank

I confirm that, for italian accounts, also N26 works in mismatched names.

I can say that MP it is not so difficult in our country.

MP on Italian accounts asked only for bank account, no need of ID and bank statement ?

P.s. On Bulgarian individual eBay accounts I'm not able to change the account holder's name. There is an option to do that via customer support.

I've only been asked to provide bank IBAN... nothing more so far.

This is probably on personal accounts. Anyway , it is absolutely mandatory for all italian users to provide their tax number. This means it will have to be provided soon and I fear they will be using it to verify identity , it is basically the same thing as with SSN in america

mine are all personal account and yes, if they check validity of codice fiscale it won't pass...
