Default MP using friend's ID

If I upload my friend's real ID for MP registration is there a risk for him regarding the tax that should be payed here ? I would like to be well informed before asking him for such a favour.

Does eBay reports something to my country Tax agency ?

Thank you in advance!

It works the opposite. Once you reach 10k eur per year, you are asked to provide your tax id. If you can't provide it - acc locked.

Got it. Before that amount of sales nothing will be reported.

I read here something like $600 in the US. I hope other UK and US members to shed some light on this.

600 is something about import tax

EU threshold is now 10k euro. I know for sure only what is in BG.

If I understand correctly eBay doesn't report until you add your Tax number, same like Revolut and Bunq.

But I'm not well informed about other countries tax requirements and I would like to be before uploading a friend's ID.

US is 200 transactions and $20K,but that will change next year.
if your friend is a US citizen or resident, using his SSN will get him into trouble if he does not report his income from your sales

They for sure have not done it so for. But with all the changes this year, one can only expect they might start.

ebay , amazon etc. have been reporting people for years , in fact they make their entire database available. so it is pointless to talk about some minimal amounts.

and regarding 10000 , this is for VAT purposes only. That means once you have a total annual turnover for EU customer over 10000 euros you must register for VAT or you will not be able to continue selling.

Depends where you are. I was answering a question from a person from Bulharia, assuming he is asking for Bulgaria. Many dozens of accounts are my proof that so far nothing has been reported in Bulgaria. My personal suspicion is that they are starting doing that along with all other chnages this year.

Cheers.

Yes recently it was changed to 10k jointly for all EU countries. Sonner every country had own limit, usually much higher than 10k
