End Of eBay Stealth Accounts ??

Hey everyone,

I got this message on ebay, "You need to update your account details on file in order to avoid any issues with payouts in the future." Nothing has been sold since signing up for MP, I need to send a id since they can't verify my stealth details.

I kept all the stealth info the same from when I first registered with my stealth paypal almost a year ago. The only thing I added was a SIN number for managed payments which was random number generated I got from online.

I uploaded my bank statement for my stealth account which I edited the name but didn't receive any micro deposits from ebay to my account. Not sure what I did wrong... aren't you suppose to receive a micro deposit?

The only option I have now is to submit an altered id which from what I read on the forum is no point and has no chance of being cleared. Can someone please explain what I did wrong or is it just over with stealth details..been trying to figure out a solution but can no longer sell on eBay because of this. The only thing I can think that caused this is not receiving the micro deposits or the pre-authorized direct deposit form I sent as the bank statement.

as far as I understand it offers you to update your personal details or upload ID if the details are correct?

just change the details to your details and the account should be fine

I don't want even waste money buying a altered id seems impossible to pass with eBay unfortunately, not sure what triggered the id request though. I haven't even received any microdeposit yet. After I registered and entered my bank details I got a message saying my account is enabled for managed payments but the next day I got a message on the selling tab to verify my details. Seems like the end of stealth for now... only way I see this working is using personal details or someone's info with their permission.

I received my first payment to my bank after four days, not sure how long I will receive payments until ebay starts holding my payments since I still get a message to verify my stealth details.

Had this on a few of mine, give it a couple of weeks and they will put a hold on what you have in there

Is it possible the type of bank you are using is flagged? For example, seems some other users are having problems with abused payoneer banks

I signed up with TD Canada, most likely the stealth details which flagged it but not sure...

I've had the exact same problem with my UK ebay.
It was a full stealth until MP came along, I then changed to a variation of my real name, real DOB, random address (a sports hall) and real bank(Metro)
Everything was going well, regular payments received. it did state in the seller tab that I need to update my information to avoid payment issues in the future. Well as of today it now says "your payouts are on hold until you update your information"

So the obvious reason this has happened is that they cannot verify me at that address.
I have other accounts with real details (not mine) that have never been asked for ID.

They are asking for government issued ID ie passport or Driver license.

Question:
My real details are banned on ebay. I do not want to give them my real passport/license so can I doctor it? maybe just change the number slightly
Are eBay checking these 100% against a database?

TD Canada has been decent for stealth deposits though...

you can use your real details , this is a one-time opportunity to get back to ebay if you were suspended before MP

they verify stealth info in public databases. sending creative ID will not help. either switch your info into real or the account is toast. there is no more creative docs, they verify your info in data bases and if it doesn't come back with matching info, it's a ban.

Seems like ebay is giving banned people a free pass with MP for the time being. lot of banned people using real info for MP without being banned. also depends what you are doing. if you are selling sketch items then don't bother. it's more for born again christians, I mean ebayers

issue here is your name variation doesn't match DOB and bank. address isn't a big deal, people move all the time. i would have recommened use real name and real everything if anything, change address from 103 elm street to 104 elm street, if they ask for ID it's easy to say one number type. but mis typing name looks odd and now with address not on ID is not a good look. also name on id doenst match bank. honestly the account is toast
