Open an individual account seller account with EIN

Hi guys,
I wonder if I just open an individual seller account with all stealth details , add a bank account and when time comes give them an EIN number from my existing corporation will that work? Will I be able to continue selling this way?

No that won't work. There needs to be a real person responsible for the company running the eBay account.

Youll still need to provide the SSN/DOB info for the acct owner. An EIN doesnt negate the need to provide that info.

I have DOB for that account (since that's my cousin). But I definitely can't provide the entire SSN. Will they ask for the entire SSN or just last 4 figures?

Theyll ask for the last 4 digits - but those need to be the CORRECT 4 digits as they match those against the national SSN database and match those to the name of the act holder and the DOB of that person.

Upon registration, or after a certain sales threshold? I ask because when I click around in there looking at different options, it asks me for the last 4 on business accounts, as well as personal.

It was during registration but the form looked different then than now.
I just doublechecked to make sure I wasn't remembering wrong.
When I go to "my eBay" the "business details" shows my LLC name and a partially redacted EIN.
Then directly under is a "stakeholder details" section which shows my name and partially redacted SSN.

I guess they aren't asking for the whole thing anymore. I don't know.

Interesting that they changed it. But maybe they'll ask me for it later... who knows.

They do in case of a business account.
But is it necessary to upgrade an Individual account to a business one? Why don't we just stay on an Individual account and provide them EIN number from our LLC or a Corporation?

I did a whole bunch of them (MP conversions) all back to personal accts, most were business accts back then. Later, they started asking for the last four instead of the full nine digits as if they knew me very well. The last one MP'ed got suspended. I had not sold on it for a year.
I believe they have a secret red link button like at a Nuclear rocket site. Remember Ebay's not stupid they just don't care...for now.

Yes, but you could be a registered sole proprietor, or how we call it?
It's a legal entity and it has absolutely the same-looking EIN number. That's why I ask.
It seems there is a possibility to point yourself as a Sole Proprietor and give them an EIN number from LLC or a Corporation and be fine.

Let's say your individual stealth account is registered as John Smith.
Then you find a corp named John Smith Inc, and then when you convert your individual acc to a business acc you chose "Sole proprietor" in the relevant form and provide that EIN number from John Smith Inc.

I just would like to know if anyone has succeeded using this method.
