Default Selling Limit for Past Due MP eBay accounts

Hi

I have some eBay accounts that have been way past due for the MP sign up date.

After I signed up for MP on those accounts, I noticed my selling limits are back to 5 when they used to be high limits.

Is this happening to anyone else?
Or does anyone have an explanation why it's happening?

Anyway you will not be able to list unless debts are paid.

No explanation - maybe it will go back up after some time? Sadly, I am wondering if you just got unlucky with a hard reset on limits....no 100% way of knowing

My theory : eBay knows that any accounts that have held out this long are suspicious for one reason or another. Right before I abandoned the last of my accounts that were taking Paypal payments I noticed that eBay had Paypal start holding all payments for a hard 21 days even though those Paypal's had instant payments for years prior. I think that happened for the same reason.. eBay knew that since I wasn't in MP yet I must be running a stealth account.

Could be wrong but it would be logical.

that is because they want to make selling on paypal less convenient. suspicious accounts might be active seller accounts that stopped selling because they were blocked until they register otherwise there will be lots people who sell rarely so they will be registering slowly over time

USA accounts

Doesn’t make sense since these accounts have very good seller feedback. Doesn’t make sense to do a hard reset. More than just chance since it’s 3 of my accounts.

It did ask for a new valid number, maybe that’s the reason why since I provided a new number.

Not sure. I’m going to try and call and see
