| jeffweico | 08-03-2013 07:17 PM | Amazon now has more sellers than eBay There is an interesting article on feedvisor.com about eBay. Apparently eBay lowered their fees earlier this year to remain competitive with Amazon. Amazon currently has 2,000,000 sellers and eBay has fewer - between 1,300,000 and 1,999,999. This is interesting because eBay WAS the largest e-commerce platform until 2008.
So why should we care? Because MAYBE, just MAYBE eBay will start treating their sellers better. I'm not holding my breath, of course, but it does seem like they have made a few baby steps in that direction recently. Lower fees are always welcome. Even more welcome would be eBay stopping the practice of killing 20 legitimate accounts to get rid of the 3 scammers they targeted.
Anyway, we can hope! eBay Seller Fees Adjusted to Compete with Amazon |
