Good News - DSR's will no longer be anonymous

That's one very interesting Policy Change.

It would be nice if they were able to revise them too. I have lucky 5.0's on some 75 FB accts that are powersellers with 350 pc limits within 5 months of age already. DSR's accelerate progress in my opinion.

Re: Good News - DSR's will no longer be anonymous

Because now it won't really matter as much when the new system comes into play.

With the new rules, it's based on percentage of imperfect orders and if a buyer leaves a negative and low DSR s In every category it will only count as 1 imperfect order whether they leave just a negative or a negative with one, two or 3 low DSRs it just counts as 1 strike

And I think for them to start factoring in you need either 5 or 8 imperfect orders against you

I think the new system will actually give sellers more lead way and is not as strict as the system in place, on paper it looks a lot better to me but we will see

And they also are counting 3 stars as an imperfect order in the new system so now we need 4s and 5s only low DSRs are now going to be 1,2 and 3 ratings

This new system does seem more reasonable and doesn't put so much weight on the DSR system which I like

Basically if the customer has a positive experience than you will be good

The system now 2 low DSRs and your account is in trouble now it's base don't the entire experience and it doesn't start counting until and I'm not sure but only after 5 or 8 imperfect orders

So keeping DSRs secretive really isn't as important because even if you know and get them to change their feedback if a return was initiated that will count as an imperfect order and still count as a strike

Looks promising but I'm still skeptical

I agree, the 1st time I read about the new system it struck me as giving us sellers a little more breathing room......about time we caught a break! lol.

I think this is the result of so many buyers report from me and you guys recently.
I faced so many bad buyers on ebay these days.

It feels like eBay and PP always are way too late in implementing these good changes.

It looks like it may be better for the seller but we will all find out soon , I don't trust anything they say, eBay says one thing and does the total opposite

Ebay is always too late to the party.

Its only happened because good sellers were getting slaughtered by bad buyers and things out of said sellers control

and that boils down too....

less money for ebay.

Will have to learn more about it. If it actually tells you who leaves 1's and 2's then my block list will just get longer.

Rather pointless once the new system comes in. Like the above poster said its only gopd to know so you can add to the blocked list!

To me it will stop many, not all from leaving low dsrs because they will know you can see it.

New DSRs?

Has anyone read the info about the DSRs coming into affect.

If i am reading it correctly i think if a customer returns a item we get penalized. The same if a buyer opens a case for item not received.

This is very very bad news if correct. I'm worried about this.

Customers will always want to return things and items do go missing in the post. When they do we send replacements. We are going to be punished for these 2 every day things!?

Re: New DSRs?

Yea e first time I read it i thought it would be better, but didn't realize that a case will now count as an imperfect order

Now it says you can only have 5 in evaluation period , which I think is a 12 month period , so having 5 cases opened is nothing, people open cases just to ask a question sometimes not knowing it's a case

Hopefully I'm missing something because this would be terrible

I have had buyers that told me that they just wanted to message me and a case opened and they did not mean to, and other cases that made no sense either, because they were just questions

I didn't believe opening a case by accident until I made a purchase, and couldn't believe how eBay sets it up so you can easily open a case instead of just asking a question to the seller

I wanted to message the seller and ended up opening a case by accident myself against a seller
