Suspended for Counterfeit items, even though I made them, lol
 

This was the final reason ebay suspended my ability to sell, even though I had 100% positive feedback and 5 starts across the board and was a power seller:
Counterfeit items.

Basically I was selling video game guides that showed people how to quickly get new accounts for their favorite games. I authored all the material in the guide, mailed physical copies to customers (no ebooks) and followed all their rules. Had been a seller for 7 years, then they just decided "we've deemed your items counterfeit".

Welcome to the forums - that sucks to hear...eB can be judgemental like that...what have you tried in terms of appeal?

What you should of done was to register your guide, register as the VERO rights owner of the guide.

My guess is that a customer received something from our printer and assumed it would be in a professionally printed format. Thinking that you were making copies of a guide, they probably reported you to eBay.

I would put a copyright notice on all of your items and also register as the VERO owner of the product as suggested above. I would include a statement, in the future, on each item sold that tells the purchaser that you are the author of the material and that it is not simply a photocopy from someone else's guide.

I would start on some stealth accounts, but I would also write a letter (not an email) to eBay explaining the situation and including a copy of the guide. I would point out that YOU are the author of the guide and sent physical copies to your customers so that you did not violate eBay's rules on digital goods. I would ask for account reinstatement and ask how to sign up for the VERO program to avoid these problems in the future.

You may or may not get the account back this way, but I think it is worth a try since you have nothing to lose. That goes DOUBLE if this is a legitimate account registered to you.

Would eBay do that for a normal seller? Might do this when selling handmade stuff.

If you have an item that is copyrighted or trademarked and you are the OWNER of the copyright or trademark, then YES.
