Correct, you do not need Schufa essentially
BUT!!! They CAN and WILL compare Data with the Schufa DB!
Every company can make a request there for a minimal fee!

A valid Schufa entry bypasses eBay phone verification, so you can throw whatever number you want in there.
Plus the accounts are more trusted, which is very important and the number 1 reason to make it with schufa, you just won't get problems..

Also, the more important part:
List 9 items on an 1 hour old account WITH schufa, no problem here

now try that without schufa and not get suspended, good luck <3
No, you are wrong. SCHUFA does not give out or confirm anyone's personal data.

It's not that you call Schufa and ask them if someones address is correct, and they'll confirm or deny so.

Please read and learn what Schufa does. You are spreading wrong information here.

On top of that you shouldn't list on a 1 hour old account ever.

I have no problems here, doing batches weekly.
But i heard of some people that they want phone verification now once you try to add the payment method for creating the seller account.
However i have not had this yet and i guess it's due to bad fingerprinting.

I may have formatted and formulated that post a little bit too dramatic back then.

Still.. ebay checks address infirmation with schufa, and yes they still can do that. They (schufa) can confirm any current and past address a person has if there was ANY kind of contract liek phone/internet or a car loan on that address, or any other kind of link. Maybe a phone nr in a flat renting contract (Think about it, there are US companies who track you more than even Facebook does.. IT has moved quickly.)
There is however information that only banks have access to, this is true. But an address is not Something of this information. Companies can NOT ask schufa what your current address is, they can however send an address to schufa and they either confirm or deny it.

Where did you get that schufa does not confirm addresses and existence of a person? That's the whole point of the existence of schufa in the first place, besides the credit info.
Please explain further on this, this is a very interesting topic for me

I will not go any further into the time between account creation and listing as everything has to fit and it wont work with multilogin/vm/firefox portable
Everybody will have his/her own best practise here

Edit.. with reading it again, your point is very correct indeed, a PRIVATE person like you and me can not do that other thwn for yourself. Companies however can

You are wrong here. All they do is confirm weather or not a person has a faulty loan. Example: You ask SCHUFA for Max Mustermann, Musterstr. 1, 6000 Musterdorf

What you (or any company will get back) is: There is a faulty loan under that name or there is no faulty loan under that name. If the name and address given do not exist SCHUFA will still reply there is no faulty loan, they will NOT reply: this person doesn't exist at the given address. Thus the SCHUFA system is not or only in a very very limited way able to confirm an address.

The legal basis for SCHUFA and any other "Bonitätsauskunfteien" are governed in the DSGVO (Datenschutzgrundverordnung). Schufa, Creditreform and all the others... they confirm credit worthiness and not name and address.

And you are wrong again. Anyone can obtain information from Schufa if they can show a contract or a power of authority where this is agreed on. So without consent no info to whomsoever. The information is not limited to companies to my knowledge. If you have a source where it says otherwise I'd be interested to know.

Having said this, I am pretty sure, that your creation method and not any SCHUFA info is of essence. I get 1k/10k limits with the accounts I create and always use full stealth details which are definetly not in the SCHUFA (or Creditreforms) database, without the need to upload any documents btw.

However aren't German accounts off the table now, since the German govt started this stupid VAT form (starting Oct 1st)?

seems i got some knowledge to fresh up here.. i'll source up where i got that info from again, it was from before dsgvo tho, so it may be outdated.

what i don't get then is the following however:
my accounts are created by bots, so aside from small fluctuations in the exact timing between things, the creation could be called a "controlled testing environment"
whenever i do an account without schufa it asks me for phone verification after the address entry page, when i have schufa it doesn't

so there still seems to be some difference between the "no bad entries" reply for a person that is known for schufa before the request by ebay and one that was never known there.

i'll have a look into their api documentation, if they have any publicly available. i guess there are different answer codes for both situations, on which ebay bases their decision

for the vat thing, we'll see how it goes. i guess there will be ways around this, question is rather if one is wiling to take the risk to ⊗⊗⊗⊗ info after that. i have not informed myself about this because of little free time yet
