Welcome to Aspkin Forums! Contribute! Contribute!

Yep, I finally got the forums up! After some minor server problems, everything is set and ready to go!

With these forums I'm open to anything relating to eBay, SEO, marketing, politics, entertainment and more. Just keep it clean, act like an adult and we can get along. Though I'm willing to basically talk about anything, the main purposes of these forums are to talk about issues related eBay suspensions. My eBay guides have created a kind of community, and I thought it would be better to have a forum to handle the issues.

Also this is my first forum so bare with me for a couple weeks! And I know it takes time to get forums going, but I'll try my best to lead people to it, so please contribute to get our forums going! Thanks guys!

hi all,i was booted off ebay a week ago, something about vero,i listed workshop manuals for a certain printer, the auction was for a pdf file, but apparently i was not supposed to sell such file in downloadable format, others were selling the same item, but it was on a disk!i was going to go through aspkins formula for setting up a new account on ebay, but today i recieved an email from paypal, saying my account had been limited, due to my ebay selling activities!so it appears that ebay & paypal have started cross referencing accounts!!!luckily 4 days ago i transferred £235 from paypal to my bank account, heres the full email:
Dear **** ******,

The PayPal User Agreement states that PayPal, at its sole discretion,
reserves the right to limit an account for any violation of the User
Agreement, including the Acceptable Use Policy. Under the Acceptable Use
Policy, PayPal may not be used to send or receive payments for
counterfeits, unauthorized replicas, or otherwise unauthorized items (such
as counterfeit watches, handbags, or other accessories). Furthermore, it
is not acceptable for sellers to disclaim knowledge of, or responsibility
for, the authenticity or legality of the items they offer ("authenticity
disclaimers"). The complete Acceptable Use Policy addressing Counterfeit
Items can be found at the following URL:

PayPal Acceptable Use Policy - PayPal

We are hereby notifying you that, after a recent review of your account
activity, it has been determined that you are in violation of PayPal's
Acceptable Use Policy as a result of your sales on eBay. Therefore, your
account has been permanently limited.

When PayPal permanently limits an account due to an Acceptable Use Policy
violation, it is the company's policy to hold the funds in the account
pending the resolution of any outstanding Buyer Complaints. Once all Buyer
Complaints have been resolved on the account, PayPal will release any
remaining balance either via bank transfer or issuance of a check. Please
log in to your PayPal account and verify that your account information is
accurate, as PayPal cannot be held responsible for incorrect information
provided by the account holder.

You will need to remove all references to PayPal from your website(s)
and/or auction(s). This includes not only removing PayPal as a payment
option, but also the PayPal logo and/or shopping cart. We thank you in
advance for your cooperation. If you have any questions, please contact
the PayPal Acceptable Use Policy Department at aup@paypal.com.

Sincerely,
PayPal Acceptable Use Policy Department

Any advice about getting around this?

jamesy 02-18-2007 05:25 AM

well the first step would be to edit your own post and delete your name from the letter you've cut n pasted!!!

you'll have to set up a new paypal account in all likelyhood. you'll need to take some time to plan to become a new person in paypal's eyes and that may mean going to the extend of setting up a new savings account etc so you can receive funds.

I'm surprised that they booted you off for that one offense?

4. Enter your new eBay User ID and password
5. Click 'Submit'

I am going to start setting up my new account assap but I have just a couple questions for you, with prepaid Debit Cards (Visa/Mastercard) do they have checking account attatched to them on line for you to withdrawl your money from a atm? Greendotonline has this option but you purchase the card at the store then you activate it online they give you all your account info then a card is mailed to you, so if you are using a a ⊗⊗⊗⊗ address and name this will never work. and I am not sure how you will get the money out of your paypal account? could you please clarify this for me asap I want to get started today on this issue.. Thanks so much

Some do, it depends on the card.

You'll receive the card. Once you have the card you can spend what ever is on it online. You can even setup a mock Paypal shopping cart, and send your self money that way. Read the fine print when signing up for an account. They tell you what you'll receive, how you check your balance etc.

I believe simon.com shows you your balance at your request, but it's not like a bank; you can't reload money onto your account. You'll just need to get a new card. It's more of a giftcard then anything.

That's correct. To get money out of your Paypal account, you'll need a new bank account. After you create your new account, simply add your bank account details. Create your Paypal account as you would an eBay account. You'll need to use your real name and most of your real address to do this. Get verified and confirmed and move from there.

This doesn't matter. Just make sure you don't link accounts and you'll be okay.

tyandlayne 07-19-2007 02:14 PM

Paypal

We tried setting up a new paypal account a few months ago but they limited that one also because of our both accounts had the same address, and they connected the two and then wanted all this info to veryify info... So this did not work either.. HELP
