Below Standard Defect/Late Shipment Rate

Hello all, I'm new to the forums

I am currently Top Rated as of my last review on May 22nd for USA.
My Next evaluation is June 20th.

Problem is that my current Defect Rate shows 6.51% (11/169) and 9.49% (15/158) shipment rate which is Below Standard.
The Transaction period is: Jun 01, 2016 - May 31, 2017.

I've tried to increase sales in an effort to reduce the percentage but the percentage hasn't changed. I've had 56 transactions since May 31st. Will these 56 transactions + any other transactions I complete by June 20th be counted in the evaluation? Can this account be saved? Please help.

The new transaction will appear on your next evaluation on the 20th. When you say defect rate, do you mean unresolved issues? I noticed the two totals are different parameters.

As for your shipment rate, I would increase my processing days under business days to ship if you cant complete it in 1 day or how many ever you chose. If you are negligent on shipping, you will suffer greatly with the algo choosing you, if not losing the account to incompetence.

Hi thanks for the reply vettefever17,

The new transactions will appear on the June 20th evaluation, and so the account can be saved so long as I keep my transaction rate up?

But no need to increase my processing days, just had a bad day and I was unable to ship on time. The defect rate was caused by me canceling multiple orders under the assumption that the orders were lost in transit. I didn't know orders had to be canceled under the buyers request at the time.

The account can be saved if you have enough volume. I dont know the current probation period ebay gives for raising your percentage. I would guess two months as long as you improve each month and get back to standard within those two months.

Although it is slightly bending rules, always select buyer requested. If any backlash happens just claim mistake or discuss with customers. (This hardly ever happens.)

As for your shipping, I would encourage at least one more day within in your ship time if it 1-2 days. This is just an added comfort measure that you can be covered another day. I used to always run 1 day shipping, but increased my shipping to 2-3 and ship priority on the item if it is the cheapest option. This actually makes the customer very happy, because it outruns the estimate. Just a little trick to make the customer feel special for good feedback and proactive management.
