The account can be saved if you have enough volume. I dont know the current probation period ebay gives for raising your percentage. I would guess two months as long as you improve each month and get back to standard within those two months.
Although it is slightly bending rules, always select buyer requested. If any backlash happens just claim mistake or discuss with customers. (This hardly ever happens.)
As for your shipping, I would encourage at least one more day within in your ship time if it 1-2 days. This is just an added comfort measure that you can be covered another day. I used to always run 1 day shipping, but increased my shipping to 2-3 and ship priority on the item if it is the cheapest option. This actually makes the customer very happy, because it outruns the estimate. Just a little trick to make the customer feel special for good feedback and proactive management.
