Possible way to start a new account? After 4 1/2 years of suspension
 

Was indefinitely suspended over 4 1/2 years ago for low shipping time stars

Account never reached selling limit, so i don't believe they have my SS#

Account was deleted by me after restriction, and since then ive called eBAY up about re-instating (about 3 months ago) and they say im not even in the system (the rep in the safety department even suggested i go ahead and make a new account to see if they would let me) as he couldn't find any information about me or my old account.

Im still at my old address, where 2 active family eBAY accounts have been going strong for years, never linked.

I was thinking i could go ahead and make a new account.
Same name, different bank account, different e-mail, using a rented P.O box as my address, and using a VPN for a new IP. I could make a new paypal aswell. (Old paypal still works and was not suspended).

Would this possibly work?

Mal, I highly recommend you read the ebay stealth. You can get it by clicking on one of the links below in my signature.

Once you get it, I suggest you follow the guidelines, so that you don't have to go through something similar or worse in the near future...
What you are about to do can potentially get your 2 family eBay accounts banned.

I would go for it. Stealth is great, but I you can have an account that is actually use,then why not? I would use a different address, as you mentioned. But other than that, what do you have to lose? If you use a PO box and VPN, how would it get your family members banned?

The biggest lose could be to those 2 other accounts "going strong". This is Definitely a situation when stealth techniques should be observed.

The CSR may not have been able to find it, but trust me, EB and PP NEVER FORGET ANYTHING!

You can try, but really it's better to start fresh without using your real name and info.

Yea I think it is a big mistake to use your old details, especially if you're in the household with two other active Ebay sellers. Get a new IP from IPBurger to use with your newly created stealth accounts.

Just go stealth since you could screw the other accounts.

I am banned from eBay because my mums account got banned in 2009 and they closed mine within weeks saying I am linked.

I have been stealth from day 1 :D

You were out for 4.5 years and I was out for roughly same time (2013). I tried getting reinstated 2 other times in past but no luck. One time they told me to not contact them again (like the middle man of ebay was angry)..
Then third time month ago, I tried after seeing some people getting reinstated and they got me back on. But then again, I had death in the family so they asked for proper documents which I did. But what I don't understand is that why didn't they consider this in first time or even second time.

Could it be that ebay is losing market share so they are getting back the people they booted? Or did I meet some really nice ebay staff who finally understood my situation.. First time I sent in a huge essay and probally got them sick and tired of me and disposed me.

Yeah, don't know what I was thinking. I guess just that it would be nice to just have my actual account reinstated. But yeah, Not much of a difference in a stealth account and a real account. Might as well be all stealth

I would not waste any energy on past accounts. Forget it. Learn stealth. If you want to use your real name, no big deal, but everything else must be different. Get the guide and learn the basics before you end up costing your family there ability to use ebay.
