Question Changing your EBAY Shipping/Registration Address...

Just wondering if anyone has successfully changed their addresses (registration and shipping) without getting suspended.

The account in question is not a seller account. So, I didn't think it would be a big deal.

But in general, what is the recommendation here regarding changing the address on an account?

How about the name?

Default I didn't say I got suspended...

I was asking if it was something commonly done without getting suspended.

You sell accounts. If a person buys one of your accounts wouldn't it be common to change both the name on the account and the addresses?

Or do they just sell under those but bill through another.

Tx

Unless you get married, then the first name would stay the same, the maiden name would change---that would be believable..

200.00 fill ups would put a major hurt on most people, but it doesnt dent her pockets.

Then again this lady has nine kids and has an 800.00 food bill every week too.

What time is supper ebayhateluv?

Default Trying to salvage a pre-11/07 eBay account. Advice needed.

I found a pre-11/07 account that was registered in 2006 using ⊗⊗⊗⊗ info. Everything is ⊗⊗⊗⊗. Even the name doesn't seem like a name. Instead of "John Smith" type of ⊗⊗⊗⊗, it says "Titanium Group". It's a personal account, not a business type. Other than that, this account is clean. What would the gurus recommend I do with this? Can I change all the registration info (name, address and phone fields) to something ⊗⊗⊗⊗ though verifiable like an ING account, Simon VCC and a clean phone # without making eBay suspicious? What's the best approach here? Thanks.

Default Changing physical address in existing eBay account

Hi, I'm new so please be kind if this question has been asked before ( I searched first but couldn't see anything ). Anyway, I have a perfectly good eBay sellers account. If I change the address associated with this account away from my real address will eBay require me to re-verify anything?

Thanks,

Probably so... it's best if you can keep everything the same. EBay hates when people change details around, especially from new IP addresses. If you need it to buy something from eBay, simply use another computer and sign up for a buyers account. It's crazy easy to do and you won't risk your sellers account. Cheers!

Smile Changing Name after suspension

Hello fellow victims. Slapped in the face by ebay after 10 years and almost perfect feedback. I need to do the name change thing. I am wondering if dropping a letter from my first name and changing the last letter of my last name will be good enough. Or do I have to come up with something radically different. I only want to keep it close to my real name in case somebody wants to pay via money order. Thanks for any advice.

Hi Aspkin. My fault. I have already gotten everything I need. New accts, new phone, address. All I need to do now is the name change and get my virtual credit card. I just need to know that after I do all the things on the list. Is using my own name on the acct with a letter changed in each name will be enough. Or if I am better off making a name that is nothing like mine at all. Just concerned over money orders. I shuld have mentioned I have read until my eyeballs hurt. lol.

dude - You should be fine.
I did the same, my first name (say Alexandria) is long so I just shortened it to (Alexis) and dropped off one letter in my last name. I used my neighbors address just in case something gets sent back.

In addition, if I have customer wanting to send me a money order, I just give them my work address, tell them how to address the envelope so it gets to me. give them my real name, if they question the difference in my first name I just tell them I use my shortened name for eBay.

So far no problems.

Oh I see, sorry duderino. Yes, either a letter or two change or a different name will work. A nickname would be best.

Default Changing country of registration on an account ...anyone had problems?

I've recently changed one of my Japanese accounts to a US account on eBay. It had only 5 feedback and I've been selling fine on it since. Just wondering if anyone has done something like this before and ran into problems later on? Or does eBay not care too much about that? I've sold around $200 worth while it was registered in Japan and now about $2500 as a US account.
