| | | dealagreeproceed | 03-25-2018 02:54 AM | contemplating retirement from da ste*lth game i come to you a battered shattered tired exhausted man...
(ok im being a bit dramatic)
recently i really have been contemplating retirement from the ste*lth game...
and maybe going back into retail fulltime...(my own store)
eby n pp have taken their toll on me + the customers... dont know if i can take much more... everyday literally is always something... eby 1 day... pp the next... bitchy customers the next....
the last straw for me has been recently eby has been asking for docs on alot of my accts out of the blue... i then proceed to give them what they ask for and they STILL limit me!!!!
im tired man... i consider myself a ste*lth pro but even i have reached my peak...
maybe im just venting who knows... :surrender: |

Re: contemplating retirement from da ste*lth game Perhaps consider a new niche of products? Clearly they are causing you a lot of grief. |

Like.. I would NEVERRRRRR sell used clothing, for instance.
It's dirty
It stinks
Not as blue as I thought
I'm fatter than I though
Phuck all those people! |

Considering you have stated you do not carry out the recommended procedures, wtfudge can you make such statements?
Let me get the orchestra of violins.

| dallis | 03-25-2018 08:45 PM | Re: contemplating retirement from da ste*lth game Absence makes the heart grow fonder... have you forgotten what retail is like?
Regulation by city, state and federal government, hiring and firing troubled/absent/stupid employees, payroll to meet, federal and state tax withholding and deposits, horrible customers, theft, lawsuits, long hours, high rents, building maintenance, electric and water bills, and of course licenses and taxes, and countless other issues... I could go on for hours. |

trust me i know all about it... i worked retail for 5+ yrs... i ran the store so i know about all the headaches it entails... i know all about it but yet theres something i miss about it... maybe im sick of sitting in front of a computer all day... i guess its the social aspect i may miss i dont know... maybe im foolen myself :juggle:
theres a thrill or joy you get from haven your own brick n mortar businesses that you cant get from online tho...
but honestly if pp n eby werent kicken my ass recently i probably wouldnt be saying all this :fight::lol: |
| yankee | 03-26-2018 08:42 AM | Re: contemplating retirement from da ste*lth game I grew up in retail. I spent 33 years of my relatively short life in retail stores.
For me, retail was a never ending jail. Taxed and taxed and more taxed. Taxes on taxes and regulation upon regulation. Not every place is like Communist MA, but a lot of places are.
Ebay and paypal are a breeze in comparison. Also, I agree, if you are getting invoice requests, your stealth game needs a little tweaking but more so, your items themselves are attracting attention from someone and that is causing your issues. |
| glacier922 | 03-26-2018 08:44 AM | Re: contemplating retirement from da ste*lth game owning your own retail store, the expense is a lot more than 10% eBay, 2.9% PP. lol. like the above poster said, you might need to tweek your stealth game, everything becomes much easier after that. |
| dallis | 03-26-2018 09:01 AM | Re: contemplating retirement from da ste*lth game Ah, yes, all the social interactions you don't get online... customers complaining and bitching and moaning, the employees complaining and bitching and moaning, the city code enforcement officers complaining and bitching and moaning...
I don't miss that at all. :)
Less is sometimes more. :) |
