RIP eBay 2019

Well its been a fun ride guys. eBay clearly is letting there AI bots sabotage them from the inside out. And there little filipino reps think they are FBI agents. Asking how the "weather" is in the town you created your account. Asking why the IP isnt matching the EXACT town your in (little do they know half of all IP providers rarely ever match the exact town)

Getting suspended twice FOR NO REASON (didnt even do anything after the reinstatement) And yes I USED ALL REAL INFO. no gvoice crap or proxy crap. I even answered public record questions. So yeah rip i guess.

Why all of a sudden has it become almost impossible to make an ebay account? Were they really getting that much abused? Maybe to many sellers to buyer ratio?

I can't see eBay surviving this much longer if they keep this up. Other platforms are not near as bad as this.

But every great has its down fall.

Good luck stealthiers. Your gonna need it. aiight imma head out. Peace.

They've decide to do something about it, not to finish themselves as you think, but to save themselves.

Long overdue IMO.

I understand this, and thats fine. But im making accounts exactly how a normal human being would. Most of the abusers used gvoice and proxies, crap vcc's etc etc. But im doing what a normal joe blow would do if they wanna sell there last stack of pokemon cards. idk. But maybe this is a good thing. When one door closes another one opens. Just cant see the other door right now.

Yeah according to trustpilot reviews they’re even indefinitely suspending new accounts of innocent people who never even had an account with Ebay before. Ebay is a joke now.

Now I see why Devin Wenig got out. He saw the storm coming. And so do we. Sad days we are living in. But its time to adjust i suppose.

It's your creation method champ. Just because it worked before, doesn't mean it works today. Plenty of people making accounts with no issues.

Method:

New laptop, Verizon phone number in account name. Google chrome browser. gmail email. Spectrum Residential never used IP address. Used real wells fargo credit card to confirm the paypal.

Listed a used tshirt.

My method is flawed? Doubt it champ.:help:

They are trying to get on Amazons level. Zero tolerance.

It's the only way they will survive otherwise they can expect to be crushed like a cockroach.

Plenty of other second hand markets and shops are creating their own space online. So ebay will be finished if they don't act quickly.

This forum is never going to be a true reflection of reality, quite the opposite. Find out what you're doing wrong rather than blame ebay, I assure you they are not planning to fail.

UK accounts has nothing do with USA accounts. Its a total different thing bro.:help:

In all fairness, ebay USA always seem to be harder and just harsher in general than their other subsidiary sites. They always roll out things first in the USA.

May be this new bot AI will be rolled out everywhere else ? only time will tell.

I got a feeling it's got something to do with their managed payments being implemented. During this transitional period they are just upping the security to maximum. It will calm down again no doubt.

Are you getting the double suspension, or just the initial one? How soon do you get the first, and second (if applicable)

iamlmfao 10-29-2019 05:49 AM

Re: RIP eBay 2019

The second suspension came about 24hours after reinstatement of the first suspension. And maybe only USA ebay is committing suicide. idk.

ebay does not profit from more sellers. there are enough people selling in ebay.
For them it is beter if 5 people sell the same product than 20.

This will not decrease the number of buyers so they stil make the same profit.

Why would they not make it super hard then for new sellers.

Very true BUT they dont want and certainly do not need 100,000 search results of the same identical item.

I am personally very happy they are killing many stealth sellers. In all reality, if you need to constantly make accounts like lmfao, then ebay needs to rid the platform of those sellers. Run and Gun sellers are the worst sellers. :boink:

dont assume what i do bro. plz. one negative feedback can ruin a whole buisness. ebay buyers take advantage this and use it against you to scam etc. Sometimes i cant prevent a bad feedback if say the carrier breaks the item etc. or if the carrier loses the item etc.

I hate to break it to you, but stealthers don't make up a lot of eBay's profits. They wouldn't miss all of us combined!

Re: RIP eBay 2019

eBay isn't going anywhere anytime soon, but they are no longer catering to the small time seller or guy who is setting his used stuff around the house. eBay wants to be a lot more like Amazon and following in their footsteps.

My neighbor told me he is cleaning out his backyard storage shed and putting those items on Craigslist. He told me that eBay charges too much for fees and it's a hassle and too much work listing there anymore. Each to their own, I guess.

There are still sellers here that do OK with EB, at least for now.

One that many people are not yet talking about is Facebook Marketplace. I am hearing more about it lately from colleagues, but have yet to dapple with it. I've been told there is decent traffic there and it's gaining a lot of traction.

Even so, I'm one of those rare people who choose not to participate in any social media accounts due to privacy concerns. I have never had a FB account, and never will.

If we could "ship" items I'd utilize it one day, but I'm not too fond of meeting up with "strangers".

I don't know much about how FB Market works, but I have heard of sellers shipping items to their buyers on there. It's only a matter of time before it becomes like another scam central such as Craigslist unless there are strict controls in place.

Speaking of Craigslist, they have more flakey buyers than a frosted flakes cereal box.

I've been saying and thinking this for a long time eBay and PayPal don't rely or need stealth accounts by any means. I'm sure stealth accounts are not even 5% of the total market.

Truth be told every stealth account created does more harm than good in the long run.

They've had all they want of stealth accounts now and have stepped there game way up and it's only going to get worse and worse...I wouldn't doubt if these forums have a big fall out. I've seen so many postings of people having so many problems.

Re: RIP eBay 2019

Well we certainly have the biggest online presence and we are the go to place for stealth.

I disagree when you just say every stealth account created does more harm in the long run. It really depends on how they are used.

I want to believe that most people just want to make a living and do it the right way the best they can. That being said, there'll always be that 1 bad apple that is bad for business.

So let's keep a positive outlook shall we?

I'm sure we're a fraction of one percent. I ran across a seller the other day that had 65,000 feedback in the last month. Given a 30% feedback ratio, that's over 200,00 sales in ONE MONTH. I bet all stealthers combined don't add up to that one seller.

Dang, 2 out of 4 of my new accounts got suspended and I called and bitched the supervisor out for like 20 minutes.
I told him I worked same job as him and he could easily hit the button that approves me lol. His answer was he's choosing the safety of eBay community lmao. I sell over 10k in items on each account and only have like 1 negative on my 8 accounts
And ship within in 1 business day, I'm the eBay prime of shipping speed.
Safety of the community is definitely the goal at their morning office pep up meetings

Now my goal is to find out what system this public record search uses.
I'm thinking about using peoples identities who buy from me since I know for sure they are legit lol
