All ebay accounts suspended and no reason given
 

Dear all,

I just returned from work to find out that all my accounts have been suspended.

All accounts have received the exactly same email (sent in the same minute)

I have not been selling anything illegal and have not received any previous warnings. One of the accounts was even my private one with some folk CD's listed. Some of the accounts have been continuously used for 5+ years.

The only not suspended account is an account which is not registered as a seller account (only used for buying).

After contacting the customer service, Ebay does not want to disclose any reasons for this. They told me I'm not welcome on ebay an that's it.

I understand that there may be no way around it, but does anyone has an idea why this may have happened?

Various things, which is why I have separate accounts.

Private account: just personal stuff, dvds, clothes, cds etc
All others: reprints of historic posters (with expired copyright).

If ebay would had assumed that are issues with the copyright, wouldn't they had stated this? Wouldn't I have received a warning first?

The customer services also refuses to tell me a reason at all, although the email states "illegal items".

My guess is multiple trademark policy violation OR You're linked to a previously suspended account.
Besides eBay, only you would know for sure. So tell us...

Definitely a multiple trademark violation. Any one of your items could be coming across as counterfeit to the brand.

Start again via stealth.

I know it's a disgusting feeling being suspended but there is no way they will allow you back on.

I realised this myself.

Concerning there is no branding issue, rather they have linked me to a previously suspended account (maybe 10+ years ago). No idea why happened now, but there we go.

they dont want to tell you so you can find a way to go around it

What I learned with eBay over the years is to take what they tell you with a grain of salt, especially when you get your listings removed like this.

I had a few stealths in a similar situation and the reason they gave in the email is not even close to the "real" reasons they removed my listings. I had to figure this out the hard way by countless hours of trial and error.

It will have to be the same for me. I was just surprised that they don't even complain about specific listings, but instead just generalise for the whole set of accounts. They must have changed something in their algorithm and booom my accounts were suspicious.
