Does anyone know how long EB keeps your ip on file?
 

i run on satellite and my ip changes every few hours. it rotates between 100 or so ip addresses. eventually i hit one of the old numbers that i had maybe a week ago, or shorter. i need to know if eb keeps the addresses on file or if they just scan for matches randomly. thanks.

I don't guess ebay will keep your IP on file permanently. If that, that means other people cannot use ebay if they use the same IP any suspended people has used. If too many innocences involve and complain, ebay would destory it's own business.

I guess there would be a reasonable time threshold setup in the computer program, e.g. if the time between you log out your first account and you login to your second account is shorter than.. say.. 10 mins, then you are probably thought as ONE person. This guess is based on if I operated ebay.

We need cases experienced or experiments. Anyone surely remember he didn't get problem without changing his IP when switching his account please give a message.

I think cases are very valuable here, not only negative cases, but also positive cases. Then we could figure out how ebay do it. Then we could know how to win it. I'm SunZi's fan.
