Man I got bannned again I bought 2$ and 1$ Ebooks I only bought 2 tho in that order there and then I got banned for abusing ebay for that?!> Why did I get suspended for that?! This is messed up Wut I do wrong, any advice?

hm remember that i was on it and switched ip's when i went on the page but alrdy was logged in too then i went on my original ip this time tho lookin at the page but not exactly logging in. could that be it?

Here's a question. Where are you finding the e-books to buy? I'm seriously having a hard time with ebay's new setup of finding the really cheap deals. Didn't they used to have a way to see auctions from lowest to highest across all categories? Now you have to go to EACH category and subdivide until you want to pull your hair out or waste a couple hours. Yeesh!! Am I missing something? I can't think of anything I badly need at the moment so it's hard to think of something. I would greatly appreciate any suggestions on how to search this stuff up. Thanks

If your gonna sell ebooks on ebay, you have to meet one of two criteria's:

1. you have the copyright on the material, meaning that you wrote it yourself..if you can create the ebook into a pdf and put your email in there that should suffice.
or 2. you have the resell rights for the ebook.

If you can't prove to ebay that you have either of these, then forget selling ebooks...you'll notice that most of the ebook listings usually have a note neare the bottom starting off with "attention ebay staff: blah blah, i have resell rights, blah blah......try selling something else, like stickers or something...its cheap to mail, and its a "tangible item", which puts it into a different class than ebooks (intangible items have NO buyer protection, on ebay or paypal, so they're usually stricter with intangible items..ie. ebooks!!) ...it won't draw attention like the ebooks always seem to.

Ah, I didn't see the 'buying' part..ya they definately are cracking down...I got a recent account up to 10 feedback by buying ebooks within a one week period and they suspended me..should have gone slower.

I usually buy gaming guides and what not, since I'm in the gaming business. No problems here.

If you are, you could be getting nailed by them. Here is a great strategy used by EBAY.

1. Let a user log in and create an account with all the info.
2. Send a Welcome Message (beacon enclosed). User opens it and the beacon gives EBAY the IP Addres at least of where it was opened. If a cookie is there, and it is of a suspended user, you are dead.
3. If not dead, you go ahead with your buying and selling and EBAY sort of ignores it until you execute like 3 transactions.
4. EBAY sends a corny congratulations message. You open it. The beacon shines. EBAY gets your IP address again and checks for cookies. If it finds you have ever logged in as a suspended account and left a cookie, you are suspended. But you never even went to ebay right? Wrong. The beacon did it for you.

Another tactic I saw recently on an account was simultaneous identical emails sent to two different accounts. Hope is that both accounts open up on the same IP address. Indicates possible link, but not definitive. But it ups the suspiscion count.

The EBAY software is likely based on probabilities. Artificial Intelligence software uses probability to determine likelihood. Each account likely has a number assigned. And when you cross a threshold, you get nailed because it is statistically impossible to not be linked with an account if you get to that magic number.

I honestly think EBAY spends way more time on this than on their pathetic User interface.

Anyway, answer that question. Are you opening EBAY emails?
