What is with this Reactivate eBay crap.

Every single time on each account I have, I submit a second listing and 30 minutes later it gets a "Reactivate your eBay account."

Frustrating and can't figure it out. This happens whether they have sales on the account or not.

Re: What is with this Reactivate eBay crap.

They will always send this system message. An Agent told me that message is generic.

Everytime you receive this message you will need to contact them.
From there, they will ask you for details about the items you are trying to sell and few other basic questions.

If you are a banned/restricted user, you may get a script message telling that you are restricted indefinitely bla bla bla.

Bro switch to Chrome. When I’m using Firefox it’s like a 50/50 chance of me getting that message. Something about Firefox just looks suspicious to the ebay Bot.

This is not true, this is just what ebay agents are trained to say

Remember that the agents are basically trained monkeys repeating a script

Interesting. I actually have been testing this as well.

I lose accounts on Firefox either by using a residential ip or mobile IP; however, only a very small amount of accounts pass the second listing using the mobile IP.

But when I edit the Firefox user agent using windows 7 or even chromebook with the browser being chrome, they tend to survive more. This is only true when using a mobile IP, never had luck with residential IPs lately.

I think firefox has too much security for ebay. Even though firefox is the most recommended for stealth. I think firefox is too stealth. I’m not sure but I think firefox blocks some of ebay finger printers and you get flagged. I would only use firefox for some aged accounts not for brand new accounts.

I created 10 seller accounts yesterday with chrome and all survived the first listing on mobile hotspot

What about second listing? Second listing I can't seem to get through.

First listing is no issue since I mainly use Google FI Vpn and chrome or Edge to create the seller account on the mobile phone. But listing a second item after a week or more after the first one is a pain.

What is odd to is I use Firefox Private to create a seller account and it stays up, no suspension or reactivation even with using a VPN.

Re: What is with this Reactivate eBay crap.

I get the same thing on every account I try to make. Customer support agents tell me my listing is fine but it still gets banned. Got reactivated once - shut down again within an hour. Or they just tell me that the account suspension is permanent and there's no way around it. It's incredibly frustrating and I don't know how to bypass it. Every time I use a new IP and a new Windows user account, of course different details too but no luck

Use mobile, had more luck with mobile then creating a seller account on desktop.

Once it has some history or at least a couple of sales, switch to desktop.

I think you’re doing something between the first and second listing. If I pass the first listing I always pass the second listing. I remember in December I got a reactivate your account one time with second listing. That was because I was on NordVPN a big mistake. I been on mobile hotspot every since.

Interesting theory, do you think it's something with the user agent? What browser do you use? I've been trying with my mobile hotspot on desktop on Chrome, nothing. Will try

Creating the seller account on desktop in general never worked for me. I even tried with editing the user agent to appear as a mobile device, still didn't work. Must be leaking somewhere.

Only mobile has worked for me using Edge and chrome browsers. Brave, opera and firefox all gave me issues.

This is all speaking from my own experience, I can't really speak for anyone else and their methods.

I also think the phone number plays a big part in this too

Don't know but I use speedtalk, mint, hello mobile and freedom pop and still ran into issues. I use an online source for numbers now.

Only thing I can try is using Chrome and listing from there instead of firefox. If that doesn't work then it most likely comes down to the IP source I am using.

I think that’s you’re problem right there.. I use Verizon numbers. I think eBay can detect a online number

Do you register an account and wait for a few days before upgrading to seller account?
I registered and became the seller on the same time and all my accounts were suspended :((((

Re: What is with this Reactivate eBay crap.

Sometimes you can register account and open seller account in same day but I wouldn’t recommend it. Waiting a few days or week seems to work smoother.

I open account same day and list. Others I have that are 20-30 days old I create seller account.

They don't get suspended for listing even if I list an expensive software as first item. This only is true if it is all done through a mobile device.

I actually have been using the Google Fi VPN. I use google mobile IP without the VPN activated and it tends to get the reactivate eBay account message.

I also use straight talk mobile hotspot and that gets me 50/50 success. So not sure if their IPs are flagged.

It did not work. No matter what browser or device or any other variable imaginable, I just can't get an account to not get suspended. I post a legit item, contact support and the ****s tell me that my account is permanently banned. I don't know what else there is left to do, I believe eBay stealth is dead. **** them.

Are you cheaping out on phone numbers or IP addresses?? If you’re doing everything the stealth guide recommends it comes down to your internet or phone number, could be your personal details and blacklisted

If you don't know how to make ebay stealth work you can buy a premade account from the marketplace in the forum.

Ffs, I bought that guide like 2 years ago and it didn't tell me anything extremely useful. I'm not doing anything wrong, it's just eBay.

I agree eBay bots are stronger than ever. The stealth guide is only like 50% useful for eBay in 2022. I get constant reactivate accounts messages. I ditch them as soon as I see it. I really can’t pinpoint what exactly causes this message and trust me eBay will never tell you

RandomStranger927 02-21-2022 08:02 AM

The guide is extremely outdated... And yeah I also can't figure out what's causing it, tried changing so many variables

Re: What is with this Reactivate eBay crap.

haven't got reactivate message on first listing in awhile. It always happens on the second listing for me.

What I found in my experience is that shutting off all privacy blocking options in chrome and using a better quality IP.

Google FI IP works as well as the Moxee Hotspot which have T-mobile IP pool. Straight Talk I never had luck with, I am assuming that eBay flags most of their IPS as bad.

Chrome is the only browser I use now. The less blockage and spoofing you do, the better.

Yea I told you eBay loves chrome, because chrome is much more transparent with your data. And I also think eBay and Google share your personal data to learn more about you. Firefox works sometimes but chrome has much more success rate for creating the seller account.

Safari is also on the list for poor privacy. Which is why you’re having success.

I agree but Firefox, Brave are not option for creating accounts, those are too much for privacy. Safari still have more privacy than Chrome. They are blocking third party cookies , cross-site tracking by default, unless Chrome track everything and eBay can detect you more easily if you use same computer. So different users on same computer with Chrome are not a long term option, i believe. Maybe it worked earlier, but now eBay have changed their security system. Especially if you create many accounts in a short period of time on same computer , you will face up with suspensions and restrictions.

You’re 100% correct. I created like 10 accounts in same day on chrome with different users. And they all got suspended at the same time a week later. I was using mobile hotspot and made sure IP was changed between acccounts. And these accounts were not selling accounts only just created the initial buying account. eBay and google are working together to share more data about you. So if you’re using chrome I would suggest create 1-2 accounts per day.

Google wont be sharing info with eBay

eBay are looking at browser fingerprints though

If you are making that many and all getting limited at the same time just need to work on making each account more unique. Accounts will still get limited but should be around 1 in 5 at the moment
