ebay account used for 15 years being blocked suspended
 

Hi,
I am a private individual who has its eBay account since 2006 to sell his childhood toys to make room then purchased a few items as a young adult. And now mid-fourty I am willing to use my account to sell a few stuff I do not need any more at home.

My eBay was created in 2006, has 81 evaluations all of them very positive.

Everything was working fine until I once log into my eBay account and see this for no reason: your eBay account is blocked, your account has been suspended (sorry I only have it in French)

I have asked eBay why? because I really do not see any reasons. They did not tell me. That's annoying because I really want to get back my eBay account that I have been using for 15 years. What can I do ?

I have no idea if I am linked with another account, how can I find out?
I just know that I have never linked anything by myself.

I don't know why folk are saying it's due to linked accounts because there's no mention of it in the message. It could be, but it's only one of many possibilities.

I'll wager it's something about you or your account activities which they don't like. Surely you must have an inkling?

I have seen dormant accounts used to steal from eBay. Not sure if these specific accounts were hacked into, but that has happened as well. Who knows with eBay these days.

Hi I don't have an other eBay account. It is my only eBay account, so I want to keep it as it is good to have an account with some very good evaluation.
I have neither sell nor buy for 11 months in 2021.

The only thing special I have done with my eBay account compared to previously is using Gixen. I wanted to bid on an item, and I did not get it in the end. I had never used such a tool before. The suspension came around 1month after. Do you think that is the reason ? I have searched on the internet for gixen and suspension but did not find something.

This doesn't sound right... I'd get eBay on the phone if I were you.

I have tried contact ebay via email and they neither say the reason (claiming they cannot share) of the issue nor any way to retrieve the account : (sorry it is only in french)

Do you think I can retrieve my eBay account and how? is there something I could do by phone maybe to solve this issue?

Based on the message from Sonia, they found some suspicious activity on the account - so not a linked type of situation. Gixen is a free eb sniper app and I could see that as being the potential cause.

You might have no choice but to go stealth for a new account(s). If you want to keep fighting the decision, it's going to be hard but good luck

I have a Paypal account attached to my eBay account. And both use the same email address.
This Paypal account still works perfectly. Since the eBay suspension I have used it to send and receive money (not from/to ebay). I wonder why they are blocking my eBay account and nothing happened my Paypal account, not even a message. Is this usual?

They are separate companies, PayPal no longer owned by ebay.
